The Brookside Club

Played On 04/25/2021Great course
Played with the wife on a Sunday morning in the rain. We were the only ones on the course, so pace wasn't a problem lol.
Greens were in great condition as were the tee boxes. Bunkers all looked pretty good but managed to avoid them. A really nice course to play, easy to walk, easy to navigate, really nice guy in the pro shop. Will definitley be back again.
Wahconah Country Club
Played On 09/01/2020great conditioned course
Lovely course in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in very good order, bunkers were raked and hazards marked. Nice easy to follow layout, and a good variety of holes.
Friendly staff and the members that we encountered were all friendly.
Had a great morning golfing and a nice good value lunch in the clubhouse afterwards.
Would play this one again if I was in the area.
Southland Golf & Country Club
Played On 11/30/2017a bargain gem in Georgia
great round of golf on this coursr based aroynd the Southland development. The course is a good mic of dogleg holes good length par 5s and interesting par 3s. This is not a stand on the tee and thrash your driver course, tbe holes nerd some thinking and i loved that. Tbe greens were in superb shape and rolled very nicely for the time of year. The only down side to the course was that some of the bunkers needex attention but that was it. The green fee was $15 including cart, so to me this was an absolute bargain for the condition of the course . Staff were super friendly too, will definitley play this again when i am next in town.
Pinehills Golf Club - Nicklaus Course
Played On 08/29/2017Lovely course, great staff
Played on a wet Tuesday morning so not the busiest, the range (free) was available and I was able to get a hot drink to go. Starter was cheery despite the weather. Course was wet, lots of rain from night before, but carts were allowed on fairway. Ball rolled ok and the greens were in fairly good shape (guys, fix your plug marks please) bunkers were good. Got a good deal thru golf now, enjoyed the course and will be back before the end of season.
Atlantic Country Club
Played On 08/24/2017Great course and friendly staff
I have to firstly justify the pace of play grade. Normally there isn't a problem, but this morning there was 6 x threesomes of junior boys on high school tryout, apparently their coach excels at teaching slow play.I got stuck behind them just after the turn, played 1-10 in 1hr 10mins and 11-18 in 2hours 50mins.Otherwise the course is great, nice mix of holes, the greens had been punched but played fairly well. The fairways were all in superb shape, ball rolled out well, bunkers seemed to be ok for sand and the layout is easy to follow and the course is quite walkable. Look forward to playing again before the season ends.
Agawam Hunt
Played On 07/26/2017Surprising course
First off, this was a total surprise giving the urban setting. On arrival the staff were all super friendly and very helpful. In the pro shop, I was given a map with great instruction as the layout for a first timer is not so easy to follow. The cart was loaded up for me and away I went. The course itself is in great shape, fairways are not overly generous but they are not ribbons either. the layout rewards fairways hit and punishes you if you don't hit them, just as it should be. Greens were all in great shape, quick and rolling very nicely. Bunkers that I played out of were all in good condition, sand was well raked. the on course ground crew were all very polite and friendly and went of there way to move out of the way and let me continue playing. All in all a very enjoyable mornings golf, will look to get back to this course again.

Nice course, not a lot of money to walk it, but just not worth the grief. The guy in the pro shop is just miserable, you really are an inconvenience to his whole day by showing up and trying to pay for a round. Ground staff dont have an ounce of golf sense, quite happily driving carts in front of tee boxes or right up to putting greens or right behind you on the fairway as you are in your back swing. The people playing it for the most part were ok, but as usual there was a decent amount of miserable old guys who just want to wait for the whole fairway to clear before they hit of the blue tees and send another 150yard bomb up the fairway. just a miserable golf experience which was a shame as it is a nice course in good condition, just wont see me there again.
Stonemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course
Played On 04/29/2016Stonemount, Stone Mountain
Played in the early morning so the heat wasnt too much of a factor. Speed of play was 3:45 we were a 3 some and played behind a 4 some. Course was in great condition, fairways were running well and the greens (with the exception of No.1) were all in great condition with very few pitch marks. The check in was quick and friendly, the starter was great he gave us a few tips and pointers on the different holes which proved to be a couple of shot savers. All in all a very good resort type of course that does make you think about club choice, on some of the holes it really pays to play safe and leave the driver in the bag. Loved the course, the staff and condition of the course all made for a great day out the added bonus of some stunning views of Stone Mountain was just the icing on the cake.
Butler's Golf Course - Woodside Course
Played On 08/08/2014Nice course
Very friendly staff. Great facilities. Good food. Course was in great shape, greens were quick and rolled well. Good variety of holes. The course is spread out but you are riding a cart so no real problems.
Great time would play again
Swinomish Golf Links
Played On 08/03/2014Nice walk
Played here on a Sunday with the wife. We were told there was a tournament in progress but they would be at turn as we teed off. The course is fairly open, mainly flat but a few holes (4 or 5) that are up and down. Greens were in great shape and fairways were firm with a nice roll. Rough was under 1 1/2 inches so finding and playing your ball was no major issue. This is a great course for mid-high handicappers. I think if you are a lower handicapper it may be less of a challenge. It was also very walkable just one real uphill hole. The Golf Now value pack of cart, range balls and hot dog and drink was great value. Nice views as well.
Mount Si Golf Course
Played On 07/08/2014Decent course
Pretty decent track. Not too many holes where you can get in trouble. Greens all played very nicely. Fairways were firm and rough was cut down which made finding your ball easier. Pace was 4 hours for a walking fourball. Great views playing next to Mt Si and price was very reasonable.
Oakbrook Golf Club
Played On 9/4/2013Nice well maintained track
Ex private club which has recently converted to daily fee. Still has a feel of a Country Club, super condition, fairways very good condition, tee boxes excellent and Greens superb, bunkers were all raked with decent amount of sand. My only thing here and this is really picky but the tee boxes are not numbered (I know this is a throwback to the country club days) the layout is fairly easy to follow and the map on the scorecard helps. Hitting thru the power lines crossing the fairways was interesting. overall a great place and the halfway shack was reasonable priced too.
Classic Golf Club
Played On 9/4/2013Ok course but staff are no fun
I would like to start by apologizing to the guy in the pro shop for turning up and trying to play a round of golf at your course. So sorry it wont happen again.
Turned up an hour early asked if it was possible to get on early and was told in no uncertain terms that Golf Now bookings wont be moved as that is the tee times that are sold, paid for my round an waited on the practice green next to the first tee and saw no one for 45 minutes start at the tee box. Course itself is just okay, the fairways are very hacked up lots of divots nothing filled in by ground staff, tee boxes in same state. Greens were okay tho rolled nice and had a decent speed. Course is not the easiest around they use fairway bunkers both grass and sand to good use to steer you around the course. There is better courses around but there is worse also but definitely there is much friendlier helpful pro shop staff.
Mountain View Golf Club
Played On 9/2/2013Nice course for everyone
Played here on a Sunday morning, super friendly pro shop, range was right across from pro shop. The starter was great gave us a few pointers on the trickier holes on the course. Greens rolled really nice and the course looked in great shape, the membership obviously look after the course as there was not very many divot marks on the greens and no broken tees on the tee box. Signature hole is the par 3 12th, 180 yds but you tee off 200ft above the hole, great view. Nice walking friendly layout, carts are provided but the course is very easy to walk. The restaurant was good value with the good service continuing in here as well. definitely would play here again.
Kenwanda Golf Course
Played On 5/5/2013Not that great
Too many blind tee shots onto fairways where the grass was just too long led to a lot of time just looking for golf ball and that was the straight ones!!
Greens were ok in condition for the price you pay.
Easiest way to improve this course would be just simply cut the grass, pace of play was painful slow but we saw a lot of groups doing exaclty what we were doing, just couldnt locate a ball on the fairway. Sorry but wont be back to this track.
North Bellingham Golf Course
Played On 4/3/2013A great fun course to play
Very friendly staff, great driving range and putting green for warming up. Very easy course to walk with just a few small elevation changes. Greens were in good shape and the fairways were dry, cut and wide open. loved the fact that you can play a course in the NW without it being lined with trees or houses. The pro shop is well stocked and the restraunt was fair priced and good value. Definitley will be back here during the season.
