WestWynd Golf Course

You pay $70 to enjoy a challenging course at a reasonable pace. Instead about 7 groups got stuck behind a couple groups of drunk frat boys littering Jell-O shots all over the course causing a massive back-up. Several groups quit, we only didn't since we paid so much. This shouldn't happen at a course like this..not when you pay this much

You can get a round of golf really cheaper here, but you get what you pay for. There aren't any sprinklers on this course which can be good and bad. The good thing is that your drives will get a serious amount of roll if you catch the fairway (I had two that hit ground running and go over 350) since its so hard, But even if you do keep in the fairway you're almost at a disadvantage since your wedge shots will have too much bounce and you can't even make solid contact since its so dry and hard. Some of the tee boxes were laughable due to their awkward size and slope but maybe in the spring the course would be softer but i will say I did enjoy the very "up-north course" feel on some of the wholes

You can get a nice deal on this course quite often it seems, I was quite surprised by the quality of the course. It's not overly difficult, its quite wide open the greens are OK (not terribly fast) but it can be an enjoyable round if the course isn't backed up

Played On 6/8/2013Serious Disappointment
I played this course on my birthday with a couple of my golf buddies and I was really disappointed (luckily i got a deal on it) the greens were diseased and burnt and were playing to the point of unfairness. I live on a private course so I know what "quick greens" are all about but these were just atrocious (my friend hitting a soft lob shot that landed on the front of the green then it would run all the way off the back) and wouldn't hold any spin. It's an Arthur Hills layout so its tough and fairway shots are rewarded. I've been told it was once a really nice course that was well maintained but everything was incredibly dry and dead for early june (i had a 5 wood rollout over 300 yards..thats 50 yards too far on average). I would highly suggest not paying more than $30 for this course which you won't find often, but you can enjoy more courses for much less. Enjoy those U.S. open greens! :/
Mulberry Hills Golf Course
Played On 5/22/2013Not Bad
This course is an old cow farm. It can be annoying when you hit a tee shot but never find it due to the tee shot being blind and the overgrown fescue. The domed greens can also be irritating especially when its windy. Nothing bad to say about the staff as they are very nice and they market themselves very well considering their location, I personally am just not a fan of the course.
