Great course to work on skills

I'm getting back into the "swing" of things after a 2-year hiatus. Having a course like this is great for people like me. I'd certainly bring my kid here to teach her the sport.

Great for the high handicapper

Super nice re-do of Chase Oaks. This is for the 9-hole Players Course. Everything is perfect right now, definitely the time to go play. Good distance test through 9, can use every club in your bag .

Good practice facility

Pretty much what I'm looking for, being a 35 handicapper. Stay out of the St. Augustine fairways!

Greens in better shape

Looks like the aeration duties have been taken care of for this cycle, so things are more playable.

Cheap 9-hole round, lacks course rating

Not a bad way to pass the time, especially if you want to bone up on your short game skills. The green quality varies quite a bit in terms of size and skill necessary to land your shot. I believe there were 3 forced carries (3,8,9).

On the down side...no coolers allowed, and no USGA rating or slope (yes, I've played a lot of 9-hole courses that have them). Also, the course is located in the middle of a gigantic apartment complex that has seen better days...I worried just a touch about how I'd find my car when I got back.

Challenging for high handicapper

We play this course because it's close to work, but for duffers like us it really can be tough. That one par 5 on the front 9 with the super tight fairway is ridiculous. Still it's a nice place with friendly staff...we'll continue to go back.
