Great local course

I have played this course for over 20 years. It's always in good shape, I gave it three stars only because they are dressing the back nine and today will do the front . I played the front twice, so it was a good day to practice your irons. They are always trying to improve or upgrade this course that's why it's a great course to walk and play.

Awsome challenge and staff

I came to check in and the others at my tee time were already let to start early because they were visiting relatives so the staff actually accommodated their request, that's something unheard of now days, a friendly staff! The starter then said I could wait for a later time to join a threesome or go ahead and start on the third hole because there was a large slow group in front of me. What? A friendly employee to Golf Now customer? Most of the time the local courses treat us like second class citizens. Anyway, the course is a links
style and it has plenty of berms, sandy areas and not a lot of grass and certainly not any shortage of trouble. It was a pleasure to play different shots on a very challenging but rewarding course. The greens were quite a surprise! They are perfect, very smooth, fast and the greenest I've played this year! If you love to play golf you'll love this course. The wind on the day I played gusted to about 30 mph, which made it even more fun.

Dont waste your time or money.

Everytime we play this course there is a negative interaction with " Roger". We got bumped up an hour because of a frost delay. Went to hit some balls, range is dirt with a few stakes scattered about, I guess you are supposed to figure out yardage on your own. We were told to go tee off and "Roger" said we had to wait for another 30 minutes, so we putted on the practice green (with no flags), 5 minutes later he left and someone from the pro shop apologized for him and told us to tee off again. Course is not maintained at all and appears as though they are hoping someone will buy it so they don`t have to s spend any money improving it. P.S. After two and a half hours for nine holes we got frustrated and didn't play the back nine holes. No marshalls to breakup the four groups on every tee.

Nice old school course!

I have played this course for years now and it's one of m favorites. It's not too challenging but it has character and an old school type course ambience. The day we played it was 112 degrees out and the course was still very green. On a couple of holes there was standing water. Overall the course for this time of the year was very good, there was a lot of debris on some of the greens from the pine trees but most of them were quite smooth and receptive. You can't go wrong playing this course.

Old Style course! Very Antiquated

Having read reviews before I played I sorta knew what to expect. The course is located in a housing subdivision and overall appeared o be in good condition. The practice range is grass and the bucket size for $ spent id plenty. Fairways are narrow, winding, tree lined and give you a fair share of blind shots. Tees needed attention, not much grass at all. If you love hitting out of kikuyu grass from the fairways you'll love this course. This grass will almost grab the club out of your and if you don't hold on, but doing that you'll fire into some of the nicest, fastest greens in Riverside. All in all I found it challenging and will probably play again soon. Last note: Expect to play slow, it seems to be the norm as soon as you get away from clubhouse to batch up in fives and sixes. P.S. Also bring plenty of your own water, we only found 1 water fountain on the whole course.

Good bang for your buck

The course was in pretty good condition , except for the bunkers. The bunkers were obviously not touched on the day I played because they were wet, muddy and very crusty and looked like they needed a lot more sand. There were two of us playing today and teed off at 11:20 and inspite of the 100 degree weather we finished at 2:45. The greens were the best I've ever seen, very fast and flat.Overall the course was in above averagecondition.

I haven't played this course in several years and was pleasantly surprised. The fairways were green, the greens were smooth and well kept. Want to play it again soon!

Bargain Golf

I've played this course for the last 15 years and it has never been in this poor of condition. I only go there because there's never a wait, it's cheap and it gets me out of the house. The fairways look like they haven't been watered since the last rain. They are clumpy and dry... almost impossible to hit off of and don't dry to take a divot... you might break a club or wrist. They just don't get it... in order to make money and get more bookings, they have to spend money and give people a reason to want to play there. It will never be busy if they don't put some money an care into it.
