La Sage a sleepy gem

To be able to play 9 holes of golf right on the beach ranks up there on the relaxation scale. The course has two longish par 3/4s, and all the rest are straightforward par 3s. The holes wind around an interior pond system. Lots of coots. Three holes require a shot to carry the water, with the 155 yd No. 7 providing the most difficult challenge. Its a fun place to take a beginner.

Serious Golf at SLOCC

Superb golf course, and SLOCC gives any golfer a run for the money. Golf holes are well-designed, creating interest and varying risks. Greens are fast and smooth, difficult to hold. Playing below the hole is essential. Bunkers are filled with great sand, very consistent and textured. Tee boxes were in good shape. Great views of the valley and hills of the San Luis Obispo southern areas. Staff are relaxed and friendly. Thanks SLOCC and the member who invited me to play your course. I hope to visit again.
