San Ignacio Golf Club
Played On 04/13/2024Fun day on the links.
Great fun to play San Ignacio golf course. Except for the traps, the course was in great shape. Great layout.
Canoa Ranch Golf Club
Played On 03/02/2024No sand in the desert, really??
The course was well designed, the staff was great, but the sand traps were either full of water or empty of any decent sand. Caliche is not sand!! Someone needs to bring in or sift many loads of sand and then maintain the traps. At least the traps by the greens could be raked the rocks could be removed. We played the traps as ground under repair, because they should be! Oh, and never saw a marshal to talk to about how slow the group in front of us was.
Tubac Golf Resort - Rancho/Otero
Played On 04/29/2021Another great day at Tubac
We played today at Tubac Golf Resort and had a very fun round, despite the wind. The layout is challenging in good weather, but the 20 mph winds with gusts even higher made it especially tough. The course is in very good shape, with good fairways, smooth and slick greens, and actual sand in the bunkers. I recommend it highly for golfers who enjoy a challenge.

Tubac Golf Resort - Rancho/Otero
Played On 03/11/2021A windy day at Tubac
Another fun round at Tubac. The wind was howling, the sun was shining, and the course was tough. A couple provisional tees made it interesting, but it was fun!!
Canoa Ranch Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2018A beautiful golf course
Canoa Ranch is probably one of the most scenic golf courses in southern Arizona. The course is laid out beautifully with multiple holes having terrific views over Madera Canyon and the Santa Rita Mountains. On top of the scenery, the golf was excellent, the greens rolled true, and the fairways were in mostly good shape. My only complaints related to the lack of decent sand in the traps.
Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
Played On 11/26/2017A hot and slow day at Haven
We played the Haven Golf course on Sunday and had some issues. We were ready to tee off early and the first hole was completely open with no one else around the teebox. We went to the shop and asked if we could tee off. The guy at the desk said no, another group was ahead of us. He said they had just arrived and were loading up to go. When they did not show up in the next five minutes, we asked again, promising we would hurry and not hold them up. One of our group had an event to attend and wanted to finish his round as soon as possible. Again, this time rather rudely, we were told the other group was on the way. Five minutes later, two couples arrived and eventually teed off. One of the women in the group could barely walk. We followed them around the course for 17 holes and by the end they had two holes open in front of them while we waited. No marshall ever asked them to speed up, and I doubt they could have. It took the disabled lady a while to walk to each green and tee. We did not blame them, but one of our golfers was only able to play 17 holes and it took us 4 hours and 55 minutes to play 18. We felt the attendant could use a class in customer friendliness and caring about his fellow golfers. It was not the first time I felt Golf Now customers were treated less kindly by this course.
San Ignacio Golf Club
Played On 11/24/2017A better way than shopping to spend Black Friday
We played San Ignacio Friday and the course was in great shape. The pace was decent, considering how narrow some of the fairways were and how thick the desert rough was. A great way to spend Black Friday.
San Ignacio Golf Club
Played On 11/03/2017A fun track
We played San Ignacio golf course in Green Valley on Friday and it was in great condition. The greens and fairways were very well cared for. The narrow fairways make the course quite challenging. We enjoyed the round and I would recommend it to those who enjoy a round in the desert on a windy day.
University Ridge Golf Course
Played On 06/29/2016Champions Tour conditions
We played University Ridge two days after the course hosted a Champions Tour event. The layout was in fabulous shape, and it was fun to play a course after watching how the old champs played it. The Ridge is a tough track, with narrow fairways, lots of traps, and many opportunities for both birdies and bogeys. The staff was super friendly, from the pro shop to the cart girl and everyone in between. I highly recommend playing URidge.
San Ignacio Golf Club
Played On 11/24/2015A nice track
San Ignacio is in much better shape than it was last year, but still needs some work. The greens are uneven, the traps need fresh sand, and the greens are hard as a rock by the end of the day. They will not hold a high sand wedge, much less a less lofted club. Maybe they will be better when aerated.
Thank you for coming out to play and for taking the time to fill out a review! We hope to see you again soon!
Torres Blancas Golf Club
Played On 10/29/2015much improved
This course had been very badly maintained by a previous management company and was quite shabby last year. I am pleased to say that the new management team has truly done a great job re-establishing the fairways and greens. I am sure this year's rain has helped, but the condition of the course
is certainly due to the care more than the weather. I encourage those who had a bad experience the last couple years to return. This will soon again be a gem in the high desert.
