Closest 18 hole course to the city

Riyadh golf course is about 30 to 35 mins away from the center of Riyadh which makes it the closest of the 18 holes course in Riyadh. Unfortunately it is a old course and their course is not bad but not the best in Riyadh. Alot of dirt and rocky parts in the whole course in between the hole and where you tee off from. The actual clubhouse is old and has not done a great job keeping up with the new times of Riyadh which is a shame because it has a lot of potential to be great. They do have shisha but it’s only family allowed after a certain time which is after 6. Their pro shop has nothing so don’t go there to try to buy golf gear. They have a new golfpro Dave who seems great and great for beginners to learn to golf. Their driving range is old but decent with a second floor more players to practice at the same time which makes it is the biggest driving range in Riyadh with a distance of over 300 yards. If you don’t make a reservation before going they will not let you in and even if you do the guard will give you a hard time. Also note he doesn’t speak english so good lucky trying to tell him you do have one if you don’t speak Arabic. All and all definitely worth playing at least once to see for yourself but definitely not best place to play in Riyadh, there are definitely better options then here.
