Greens are pretty much the only thing that Glen Eagle has that is ok? Its now an old course that needs some better TLC put into it? Lots of dead trees and turf conditions that could be better. If I'm going to pay almost 100 bucks for a round of golf I would think that the conditions would be better than they are at this course!

I had seen this gem of course from the surrounding area (its kinda hard to miss if you're not looking on the city skyline) and I always wanted to play it. The greens were really receptive and smooth and rolling true. The tees and fairways were very nice and were cut at a perfect height. Design layout is very challenging and it tries to bait you into going for a lot of shots that may or not be there. I like playing that kind of course. A course like that doesn't have to be long and this one is definitely one that I would be happy to come back time and again. Just a couple of suggestions though? Driving range could use a better grass teeing area (Or is that on the opposite end of it) and also the absence of divot boxes anywheres on the course was a little disappointing. Overall great value for my money and my game will gladly come back again and again. Keep it up guys! Your course makes fun of a few other courses (that i'm not gonna mention but, they know who they are) within a short driving distance that are regarded to be better and more expensive when in fact they are not in as good shape condition wise as this course is?

I had expected a course with a "Royal" designation in its name to be a top notch place but, don't let the name fool you. I thought that it was a really badly designed track with a lot of water features that couple be presented better instead the overgrowth around all the ponds. If I was the owner of this course I would not be too proud of how this course has been taken care of. Its not the superintendents fault its just that the surrounding forest and bush has been allowed to grow over and consequently covers a lot of the natural features that this course has. Because of this overgrowth its not a particularly attractive course to play. A couple of suggestions I would have is to clean up the overgrowth along the ponds and other water features, divot the fairways better and take the large stones that can be found out of the bunkers. I expect a lot from a course with the Kaneff brand on it and this one definitely was a disappointment. Might be a while before I come play this track again?

Fast firm greens , bunkers in descent shape , divot sand bottles need to be checked and refilled to prevent grass seed from growing in bottles? Good tough, layout with some blind approach shots that are less than what is desired?

Foothills Golf Club was a good value the day I played it. The greens however were slow, the front greens were slower than the back 9 greens. I was disappointed that the bunkers were not raked in the morning which made for some unfair shots due to footprints and wet sand. There were some bare spots in the fairways and sod work that looked like they were trying to fill spots that died or got damaged. I was told that the former superintendent did a lot of things wrong and they have been trying to correct those errors? This course is nice and scenic but the conditions would have to improve before I would want to play it again or recommend it to people I know?
