I'm not a CC type guy but they treated me well here. Was paired with a nice couple and had a great time. Played the blue tees. Fine course with some length, I don't hit it as far as I used to. Great experience even if I didn't play particularly well. Would be worth trying it again. Finished near dark so didn't hang around to socialize at the clubhouse after the round.

Played a friendly round with some nice people followed by a lively time at the lounge. If you're in the area play it.

Beautiful golf course. The rough was a little deep and I lost a couple of balls in it but over all great conditions here. Played with a couple of locals and had a great time. The clubhouse was fun as well, quite social. Got the hot deal which was a terrific value.

got the hot deal for $10. They didn't give me any flack as was mentioned in another review so I bought a hat in the clubhouse just to give the course some money.
There was only about 10 cars on the lot during a beautiful day so taking my time I made it around in about 3.5 hours. Tees, fairways and greens all excellent. The view from some of the tees were more daunting than the actual shot required. A few holes had severe doglegs but overall a very good layout. If you're in the area this is a must play.

They started me on the back 9 which is newer and was an interesting layout. The tee boxes and fairways lack grass but the greens were good. Then I proceeded to the front 9 which was sad, disappointing or any other negative description you care to give. Tees and fairways were overgrown with weeds and it's just a bad layout. After I had played about 4 holes on this side I just wanted to get out of there. If they could get some grass on the course it would help a lot

Played about my worst round of the summer here but that wasn't the course's fault. I've played it a couple of times prior to this and it's a good layout. Spotty fairways and some worse than spotty. On 16 my playing partner hit his tee shot in the middle of the fairway and we couldn't find it because of the massive clumps of weeds which were about 10 inches tall. Mostly it's good though. #9 green had some problems but the rest were fine. Chalk it up to the tough winter we had.

I played here about a month ago and the course was in bad shape. It hasn't improved much in that time. Tee boxes and fairways pretty bad. The greens were good. It was a 4 hour round but seemed like it took a lot longer than that. Usually this course is pretty nice but they're having a tough go of it. I'd give it some time before trying it again.

Local knowledge required here. We played the whites, which is pretty short. Lots of blind shots from the tees ended up in hazards. If we had played the blues probably could have avoided the hazards.
Great course nonetheless. Great conditions. Will play it again without a doubt. Highly recommend that you play this course if in the Ville.

The course was not in good shape. Fairways lumpy and void of grass, rough was very deep. Very slow play. The times I've played it in the past it was in reasonably good condition but I wouldn't recommend it right now. Maybe it'll shape up in a few more weeks.

Had a tee time about noon. Played as a single and played through a couple of groups. Made it through in 2 hours and 40 minutes. Course in good shape.

A few too many hillbillies unwilling to repair their ball marks on the greens but overall the course is in very good shape. I've played here maybe 10 times but haven't been here in a few years. Still haven't figured out what to do on the 18th tee. Other than that the course is pretty straight forward.

Cold winter and spring means that a lot of courses around here aren't in the best of shape and this course for sure. If 2 feet off the green couldn't use a putter because the grass was too lumpy and uneven. Bad tee boxes and too many par 4s where you couldn't use a driver, you couldn't even use a hybrid. There are some good holes here but there were too many where I couldn't tell what I was supposed to do when standing on the tee. Not the best layout. In fact, there actually is a goat ranch adjacent to the course, if that tells you anything. Seriously.

Played here quite a few times the last couple of years. Usually plays in less than 4 hours but this time, a Saturday in early Nov. and 70 degrees it was crowded. Still played in less than 4 and half hours. Wind is almost always a factor here. Some interesting holes, #10 is a real challenge with the water in play from the tee all the way to the green. Course is always in good shape, tee boxes to greens. However, due to the hot dry summer they lost the par 3 #16 green. Temporary green for now but it looks like they're doing a lot of work on it and may have it ready by spring. Well worth the trip from Louisville to play this course in Shelby county.

I went there by myself and was paired up with another single. They've got several tee boxes to choose from and we played from the blue tees. There were some divots but since they've got a number of boxes they are able to move the markers around which prevents the boxes from getting too hacked up.
If you put the ball in the fairway you're assured of a great lie. The ball sits up perfectly. I liked the speed of the greens and they rolled well. There were the usual number of ball marks which for whatever reason some knuckleheads don't repair them but overall good greens. Nice texture sand in the traps, too. Considering the hot, dry summer we had this course was in excellent shape. Great Value and a fun track. Played it in 3 1/2 hours.
