Falcon Golf Club
Played On 10/30/2019Great Turf - Great Price
Starter - John. - courteous and friendly.
Suggest the course could. use a touch-up; one-day and a couple gallons of paint (green 4x4 tee number posts), and ball-washers; and a spray-wash and couple gallons of armor-all for touching up the golf carts; a few fence posts around the club-house to repair, etc. You can jump from a full-star and add a $1 to every green fee. A little spit and polish can go a long way. Thanks, W

Hospitality from check in and the course Marshall; the fairways have seen better days - heat and age.
The course is being overhauled this next year; it's nice to play with a mix of easy and challenging greens and pin placements. Definitely will play again.

Played On 06/06/2019Perfect Golf (Hole #12)
Got my first hole-in-one on #12 - 165 yard blue-tees.
Course is in great shape - play was reasonable - 3.25 hours. Very well maintained tee boxes and fairways, good sand, and beautiful greens for this time of the year - soft and true. Bought a round at the clubhouse; hospitable staff!

Great hospitality during checkin and at the snack bar.
Course has obviously been played hard this past winter; but even so, the greens were in very good shape and ran true. The course was a little dry - hard greens and rolling fairways, links-style fairways where bunkers for off-line drives can bite you. Good tee-boxes, gas-powered cart, and generally wide open fairways. Sand traps; 80% without sand, hard-pan release. A quick 2 hour 15 min round for 2-persons. 62 year old 15 handicap golfer off the white tees; a number of birdie-putts today; the greens are very reachable; will play the blues/blacks next time. Overall, a nice round for $25.

New front nine; three holes are cart-path only; back 9 more mature.
The entire course is in excellent shape, from tee boxes to greens and sand traps.
The course layout is somewhat benign - I remember one dog-leg, else, all straight.
Two 500-yard par 5s (birdie holes); par 4s range between 265 and 425; and par 3s around 165. Well-maintained, closely cropped greens - aim true with reasonable speed.
Enjoyed the jets from Luke ... sound of freedom baby!

Played On 03/08/2019Nice Course - A Friendly Round
Course in great shape; clean fairways, quick and true greens. Wide fairways, small greens. Most par-4s are Driver-Wedge; the 5s and 3s do mix it up. Sand traps in 'less than average' condition ; encountered several with more soft-dirt than sand. Carts w/o GPS but the 150-poles and a few sprinkler-markers made yardage guessing ok. Very courteous and friendly staff; clean course; easy in-out. Yes - recommended; would love to see a lower price, but it's Scottsdale!
Grand Canyon University Golf Course

The fairways were rather bare in spots - but the greens were in great condition for this time of year - smooth and true. The only drawback - the course is full and the grill closed around 1:30p or so ... tried calling ahead from the 8th Tee and got a 'sorry, we're closed'. No "Beer & Sandwich Cart' to be found ... so - pack a lunch and enjoy a nice course. Students or Alumni at the bag-drop, starter, etc. - very positive attitudes and courteous. Nice pro-shop and bar. An enjoyable round.
