Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort - Zaharias Course
Played On 08/09/2016Very poorly maintained golf course
I live only 5 minutes away and considered this is my home course. I have played at least 40-45 rounds in 2015 & 2016. It used to be be great condition course, the green is good fast speed and in good condition. The tee boxes were well maintained!
Unfortunately, everything is going downhill. Every time I come back, it gets worse! I do not mind the condition if this is a municipal course but this is a RESORT COURSE! It's supposed to be resort condition if you are collecting resort type of fee!!!
1) Tee Boxes are super bad. Cannot even find an even and grass to tee off!
2) Green is super slow, not cut and no one fixes the ball marks! Some green are with brown patches!
3) Fairway also no consistent but still acceptable.
Green is the most important and if a course have a bad green, they might as well close it down.

Played On 12/31/2015the worst course I had ever played
I played on 12/30/2015. Played once many years ago during the tounament. This course is a joke. I thought I had played bad courses before but this is the worst! Due to the bowl game, 2 holes were closed but still took us 4.5 hours! The course just like a junk yard with brown and weed and stuff all over. No one clean the bunker and bunker is hard pack! The green is ok but not playable. You can literally drop the ball straight down next to the hole and it will roll very slowly off the green. There were 5 holes, I left my putt few inches next to the holes and it rolled off like 20 feet away and one even rolled off the green! I tried to place the ball down but as soon as it moved a tony bit, it will keep rolling unless i place the ball in a divot or some sort or tiny mark to hold it. I have played tough green and tough courses but those greens are angulated & super fast at 12-14 speed but actually fair and playable. For the amount they charge, there are tons of better condition courses to play. I will never play there again unless it's tournament where I have no choice.

Played On 12/30/2015Worst course I ever played!
I played this course many years ago during a tournament. It was never pretty back then and it gets worst recently.
1) condition is really bad it feels like junk yard.
2) there are 5 or 6 green just not playable. You literally place the ball next to the hole and if it moves tiny bit, it will start trickling away to about 12-20 feets. We drop the ball next to the hole and it will roll off the green!
3) due to bowl game, we played only 16 holes but we need 4.5 hours!
For the amount they charge, I can play a much better course elsewhere. Never will come back again unless it's a SCGA tournament where I have no choice.
Coyote Hills Golf Course
Played On 12/20/2015Short but Challenging Course
This course is in good condition considering the water conservation. The green is always good and challenging. It doesn't require long drive but you need to hit the good precise shot. Not much margin for error on certain holes.
The pace is always good too. Just the most recent round, we had a very slow 4somes in front (just not ready golf type) but we still manage to complete the round in 4 hours 15 minutes.
Food and drink is overpriced though. So I always bring my own water and snack.
Black Gold Golf Club
Played On 11/14/2015Super Green
blackgold has always been one of my favorite courses in the area. condition is always nice and in good condition even during the drought. the green can be very tough depend what speed and pin placement. you will almost never get a straight put and everything will move hard towards disneyland. play more break than you think and let the ball slowly roll down slowly. this course is about precision, if you have a big hook or slice, bring more balls.
overall, great course. wish the speed could be a little faster.
