This course is in terrible condition. It is a shame they didn't put some effort into improving the condition. Most shots were in terrible lies or dirt. San Traps were mostly muddy or soggy. The highlight were the greens and even they were inconsistent for speed. I am very disappointed, but will keep an eye on future reviews to see if this improves. I would like to play this again when it is in good shape.

Disappointed in the condition of the course. Fairways and greens are in need of some TLC. I thought the course played fairly easy but the greens separate the men from the boys. Those suckers are fast and the breaks are difficult to read: at least for someone playing this for the first time. I will play this again because I think you need to play this one to be able to have a game plan. Sorry about the conditions but I know they will improve.

The course has recovered from the rain and is in good shape. There are still some bare spots, but just move your ball until they recover. One of the best layouts in San Diego County. Friendly staff.

The greens have just been punched so the putting was a challenge. The course has some leftover damage from the rains, but this is really a great layout and fun to play. There is a reason this was Phil's home course. A great place to get a lesson and improve your game.

This is a really great course but the rain has beat it up. Play winter rules and have a great time. I have been playing here for over 40 years and still love it. There is mud and bad fairways but just get over it and move your ball.

I really like this course. There are several fairways and greens in need of work but they will get it back in shape. it's not that bad if you take relief from a bad area. The crew is the best around. Friendly and helpful.

Staff is a pain. The course is improving and worth the money. No amenities.

The fairways are a little thin like most of the county. This is a great course with Tees for any level of player. The staff, starter and marshals are all really helpful. This one should stay on your bucket list.

This is an excellent course for the money. The best greens I have seen in a while. 4 hours and 10 minutes for the round.

I would have given this a 4 star except for holes 4 & 18. Both are par 4' with a straight shot to the green unless you play from the back tees. Then your are playing a dogleg. That makes no sense. Trim the trees so all members of the group play the same layout. Also on 18, not being able to use a cart on the fairway is ok if you are 20 years old, but if you are 75 that hill really sucks. I like this course, always have but give us old guys some help. On another note. I hope the guy who stole my 65 Degree XE1 wedge triple bogeys every hole he plays for the rest of his life. :-(

Played with good players and had a good time. Greens are fast but run true. Look forward to returning

This is one of the best buys in San Diego. Always ready to test you. The greens are really fast but were putting true. If you score well here you can really put.

I always enjoy this course. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

A little slow but this was Sunday. I like this course and the employees are always friendly. Water travels on the course so you won't go dry.

The course is coming back really quickly. A few dry areas but nothing bad, just adjust to it. This course will challenge you if you don't have a game plan. A lot of the fairways have to be played to the slope of the fairway, otherwise you will be looking for your ball in the rough. I like this course. Looks easy until you make a mistake. I had a good time.

Good course. A few rough areas but they are working on them. I always have an enjoyable time at this course and the employees are always nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I had not played this course for over 25 years and know I realize I really missed out. No stuffed shirts, just a bunch of people having a good time on a golf course. Don't forget to bring some bread for the turtles and fish on #10.

The employees are the friendliest of any course in the county. Nice group. The course is fun. A little work going on, but nothing major.

This course looks like a summer course right now. It has some areas that are in need of repair, but almost every course in the county has this to some degree. This is a fun course, at reasonable rates. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. I like the course a lot.
