The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. The bunkers need more sand - that’s my only issue with the. entire course.
We had an early tee time and we got out 15 minutes earlier than the tee time. We had the course to ourselves (almost)!

I was very disappointed with the condition of the bunkers. They have no loose sand in them - you’re hitting off of hard pan in every bunker!
With that one (major) exception specified, everything else about the course was great!

The course had just been aerated, which caused us some issues - really slow greens.
Several of the fairways have large really wet spots. Our golf balls vanished from sight in the fairways a few times and roll after hitting drives was minimal within these wet areas. It beats hitting off of hard pan, but it frustrates just as much.

First time playing this course. Pace of play was really good. Course conditions were reasonable, Greens were good.

Glad to be able to get a good tee time.
No backup anywhere on the course throughout the day.
Overall, the course was in good condition with no real issues.

The Troon Team at Hiddenbrooke are doing a fantastic job of getting Hiddenbrooke back into the condition it was before it hit on hard times.
The fairways and greens are in great condition and the tee boxes are looking decent / best that they’ve been in a while).
Bunkers s could do with some sand but they’re not unplayable.
The Troon staff are awesome, across the board.

Glad to see that the course is finally getting some TLC. The geeens are good, as are the free side bunkers.
The fairways have lots of really dry patches.
No scorecards available. The reason given doesn’t fly ( the man in the pro shop blamed the county for not having scorecards available, which was a rubbish statement because every other course in the county has scorecards available)..

I played today - mid-morning tee time.
The staff were great, the fairways were in good condition and the greens were in a great condition.
The course has improved so much since Troon took it over.
A very enjoyable 4 hours!

The round cost less than I thought that it was going to cost, but the reduction in price was due to the fact that the entire course had just been plugged - and they were huge plugs. No such thing as a predictable roll out there today. I get that this is a necessary process, but It did make for a rough day on the course.
Had I known about the plugging, I would have booked a round somewhere else.
The bunkers looked good, as did the greens.

The fairways and the greens are looking pretty good. Actually, the greens are in great shape, and the fairways are in a better state than many of the other golf courses close by.
Pace of play was great.
It would be nice if you’d re-open the snack bar between 9 and 10.

Another good day at Chardonnay.
Great staff who treat you well.
The course had recently been aerated, which didn’t really affect the game.

The course conditions were good but some parts of the course are showing signs of drying out a bit.
The staff lived up to expectations - very positive and eager to please.
Still one of my favorite courses.

As always, the course is in good condition, and today the greens were in awesome condition.
I escaped 90 degree weather by playing here today, but I wasn’t as ready as I should have been for the winds blowing in from the Bay - it was cold!
Suggest that for anybody reading this, they go with the assumption that the temperature, regardless of time of day, will be in the 50’s / 60’s range and pack a warm jacket!

Chardonnay has a great layout - some easy holes, some not so easy and a couple created with evil intent in mind (#’s 7 and 17).
Great staff - every one of them.

Overall, a really good day on a good golf course.
Super friendly and helpful staff.

The course layout and ocean views are awesome!
We had a great round on a somewhat cooler day (60-65 degrees).
Just to add to the enjoyment, we encountered a beautiful predator on the course! A lynx!

Slowish pace of play - stuck behind some people who took their putting way too seriously!
The course is in good condition overall, but the fairways are showing signs of drying out - big brown areas.

Glad to have the course back open to out of county players.
The course is in good to great shape, all things considered.
The only issue is that the course ran out of golf carts way before 11:30 am (due to COVID -19 regulation - 1 person per cart) and waiting for a cart to roll in was a bit tedious and there was nowhere to sit in the shade.
If some kind of bench seating could be provided close to the cart pickup area, it would make the wait for a cart a lot less painful.

I teed off at 7:15, before the heat of the day. It was a good decision because my 3-some enjoyed a quick pace of play, and we didn’t suffer the heat, which was forecasted to hit 92.
Bearing mind the in-place COVID19 restrictions, I have nothing to moan about in regard to the condition of the fairways and bunkers!
