Played On 05/21/2020Course in good shape but processes need improvement
When we reported for our tee time, we discovered that the course had booked four people for each tee time even though only two people could play at a time. Very strange. The pro shop person claimed that they could not change the tee time form online and that seems odd because we've played several times lately and each course has its online tee time form reflect only two golfers at a time and golfers about 15 minutes apart. That double booking made things crowded and even though the golfers moved well, it is a failure by the course people to establish a safe and reasonable tee time.

Got there for a 2 PM tee time and there was a 75 minute wait because they said there was a frost delay earlier. We talked to one golfer who drover 50 miles to play there and was never informed about the delay. He had been waiting for two hours.
I don't understand why the course cannot inform GolfNow about such a delay who can then communicate to their customers who booked that day.

White Oaks was in excellent shape when we played with trimmed fairways and manicured greens. We like the fact that for the first time we spotted a course official driving around in a cart monitoring the pace of play. That's been an on-going issue here. The folks in the pro shop are always helpful and professional. The restaurant is worthwhile but its hours are so limited.

The golf shop manager and starter were very nice but my experience was not very good. Here's why. First we didn't start to play until 75 minutes after our tee time because of a cart shortage. Second the course only had blue tees and no other marked tees. We played with two women and we constantly had to concoct a tee box for them. No one told us that before we began. Third they charged us for nine holes which was close to the 18 hole rate. We only finished 13 holes due to darkness. They gave us beverage coupons as gesture of good will but when we went to use after our round the bar person said they were no longer valid. We enjoyed the golf but the other issues were disturbing.
Hi "u226592810 " We apologize about your recent experience at the course today. Tee times were backed up the entire day because of a frost delay. Unfortunately because of this backup, many of the carts were not available for your afternoon tee times. Many of the morning players did not start on time and were still out on the course. We do apologize about the inconvenience as this was the first weekend we had where the weather was absolutely perfect. Almost every single person in town wanted to get out and play and unfortunately with a full tee sheet and the frost delay you were not able to finish your round. We hope that you will understand that most of your inconvenience was due to the frost delay and not the operations of the facility. We hope that you will give us another try in the future. Thanks MGT
