It was a cool windy day that made it even more challenging
The fescue was high but the fairways were wide. The sand cart paths are unique. The bunkers are deep and stony.
It is a course that you want to play again.

The course had one nine sut down for airation, but it was not disclosed by golfnow. You charged $25.00 but your affiliate charged $17.00. Go TeeOff from now on!!!!
Ocean Pines Golf Club

RTJ would roll over in his grave if he saw how this course has gone to pot!! Crab grass on the tees, and fairways. Bare spots on some greens where you cannot find 15 feet of puttable surface. They had play only on the front nine as they were aerating the back nine grrens. For what purpose? The money was put into a new clubhouse by association ownership, . the course has been on a downhill slide for years as.the income produced from golf is allowed to disappear.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and for your concern for our Robert Trent Jones-designed course. The course did experience stress at the end of the summer, which resulted in the poor conditions when you played. However, we recently hired a new superintendent and assistant superintendent, and they have already identified and largely addressed the issues you encountered during your visit. Course conditions are already dramatically different than when you played, and we don't expect to experience the same issues again. We do hope you'll decide to try Ocean Pines Golf Club again and to see that we're once again proud to live up to the our RTJ lineage, but regardless hope you'll continue to enjoy golf in the Ocean City area.
Great Bear Golf Club
Played On 07/24/2020The down side to this course is that you often exit the fairway a long distance from the green and the cart path is up a steep hill and you might have to walk back to your ball
