Southport Springs Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/26/2023This area of Florida needs rain
Course is holding up fairly well under drought conditions West Central Florida is suffering from. Because Southport Springs observes 90 degree rule at all times which I believe helps the course survive extreme weather conditions.

Fell in love with this course from the first time I played. Wish they would open membership to non-residents of the community. Fairly busy this time of year but well worth pace of play being only slightly impacted.
Southport Springs Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/21/2022No reason for cart path only
Course had announced cart path only until 10am. Our tee time was after 11:30. On check-in we were told management had reversed their position of lifting cart path only at 10am and kept it in place for the remainder of the day. There was one area we encountered on the 9th hole where there was a puddle of water in a spot that was 2x6 and maybe 2 inches deep. I agree with Southport Springs policy of 90 degree rule at all times. The excellent conditions of the course reflect the 90 degree rule. The decision to have cart path only all day was overkill.

Absolutely a wonderful place to play golf. A seniors paradise. Resident members are delightful and friendly as well as the staff. Looking forward to when they open membership to non-residents - will be joining immediately.

Palmer at Saddlebrook Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 09/20/2022Very Pleased with Saddlebrook
Thoroughly enjoyed this round of golf. The Palmer course was restricted to a 90 degree rule with carts but the conditions were barely noticeable. There was no standing water anywhere. Some soft spots but if you paid attention and respected where you were driving, there was no damage from tire marks. The greens were lightly top-dressed and fertilized but had no effect on any putts, short or long, breaking or straight. Overall the course was well worth the cost of the green fees, staff from the front gate to the golf shop, on course maintenance, outside operations, and valet services were nothing short of courteous, professional and outstanding. I will be going back.
Silverado Golf & Country Club
Played On 07/29/2021Great Job maintaining the course!
#1 Green always seems to struggle but it is really not in bad shape. The remaining course greens are in fantastic condition, roll true and are a good speed. Definitely see improvements being made all the time. Driving range improvements are a huge change. Time for some new golf carts. Would really like to see a practice putting green and not at the first tee as I was told was previously planned. Lots of space where chipping area at #10/Maintenance Buildings are.
Silverado Golf & Country Club
Played On 07/15/2021Fantastic conditions
With the amount of rainwear have had this course has drained considerably well. Greens are in great shape. This course is a great deal for the money.

Played On 03/18/2021Design keeps play moving
The holes are designed to keep play moving. In the past this course is pretty wet in the rainy season. It appears current owners/management is taking steps to improve course from that perspective. Compared to other courses in the area, greens are in very good condition. Apparently golfers at Lake Bernadette know how to fix ball marks.
Silverado Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/03/2020Best I've ever seen
The greens are fantastic. Hey golfers, fix your ball mark and one other. Course is really looking the best I've seen in the last 5 years.
Links of Lake Bernadette
Played On 01/09/2020Course is entirely too wet
Would have absolutely no complaints about any aspects of the course but it is being over watered. Golf balls were plugging practically everywhere. Lift, clean and place was not even questionable. I have never seen LLB this wet. Otherwise course is in decent shape. Greens roll true and at a decent pace.
The Club at Eaglebrooke
Played On 10/24/2018WOW
I live in Wesley Chapel and this experience at The Club at Eaglebrooke was so worth the drive. Our foursome was absolutely amazed at the beauty of this course and its panoramic view on each hole. The title of WOW tells you what you can expect. From the time you enter the property until you leave you are treated first class by all. I want to thank Jim in the Golf Shop for his personal touch to my questions and to Cristi on the Beverage Cart - she was courteous and enjoyable to speak with. I will be back.
