Heather Ridge Golf Course
Played On 08/05/2022First time
First time playing the course, I did not know what to expect. Though it seemed short in areas, the apartments/condos surrounding the course did not help my hook/slice. Fairways & greens were in great shape, and the marshall was on point to keep our pace of play in line with the course requirements.
We drove, but the course is definitely walkable. I'm not sure I'd pay $60 for a round, but that is the sign of the times.
Rio Hondo Golf Club
Played On 05/06/2022SLOW
I’ve always said, and will continue to state…if you play twilight or later the pace of play has to be faster than 10/hole. Ready golf. Rio Honda is NOT that. We were backed up every hole from 7 on. And two groups backed up on 7/8. It’s not the PGA, it’s a twilight round. Let’s get a move on!
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. Your review is important to us, we apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. We will pass on your feedback to the team and continue to look for ways to improve. We hope to see you back at Rio Hondo Golf Club.
Knollwood Golf Course
Played On 12/19/2019Slow Play at Knollwood
While I love the course itself, the time it takes to play at Knollwood you could play two rounds at two different courses. It is unfortunate they allow 5 people to tee off at a time, and do not take that into account with tee times when booking.
We played 2 holes in one hour. TWO holes. Golf should not be played that slow. No matter what.
Lost Canyons Golf Club - Sky Course
Played On 2/25/2013Never again
Lost Canyons golf course has steadily gone downhill since I first started playing the course in late 2011. Over the last two years the course(s) do not have any upkeep whatsoever. The fairways could be considered some of the hardest fairways I have ever played on. It was close to hitting on concrete, with dirt flying in the air after a shot. In order to get a divot, I would have needed a shovel instead of a golf club. In the winter time, I would hope all courses would use the low temperatures to their advantage and get the fairways and greens in beautiful shape. Not at Lost Canyons. The greens were covered in sand. There were a few nice greens, but for the most part, they were terrible. The public courses around the Los Angeles County are in better condition. I will never go back to the course again unless they find a new greenskeeper or get some water on the course.
The amenities are not very good either. There is no spot to clean a ball, throw out trash, or get water to stay hydrated on the course.
