I love this course for the value. The only downside would be the tee blocks. The definitely need some attention because they are either hacked up badly or just dirt. A little TLC would solve this and then they would be like the rest of the course, really well kept.

Awesome course for beginners and intermediate players. Other than rough tee boxes course is in great shape.

Because of the fact that the government allowed courses to be opened at the last minute it was a bit dry and dusty. Otherwise the course was outstanding. It will become my new go to course with no questions asked. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, etiquette was great with other players and the group I was with was great.

As I waited for the lady in front of me to finish checking in, I was just disgusted by the fact that she kept coughing into her hand and still trying to get her transaction done. The young lady in the pro shop apparently thought nothing about it but I did. I mentioned something to one of the other employees there and he tried to make it seem like it wasn't a big deal, but in the current situation it is. I like your course for the most part, however I have had a few issues and they don't seem to be getting solved. I understand that in the face of what we are going through that your hands may be tied to some problems, but there should never be a safety issue with people working or using your course. The usual problems that I have are carts on the greens, people not yelling for and errant shot, or even very slow play. These I have to deal with now because of this virus and that should be the important thing. When people are not doing all they can to protect themselves and others who are around them, then you and your staff must step up. I was genuinely concerned about what happened in your pro shop and so should everyone else who was in and around then too. Please either ask people to leave or to sanitize immediately if they are coughing so as to not make it a problem with the others there.

Unfortunately there is never a Marshall around when you need one. The group in front of us not only played slower than they should have, but they kept either walking on the greens with their pull carts or kept leaving them aside the green they had just played on while on the next tee box. I had to say something twice about it but it still had no affect.

Ad far as I am concerned under the current circumstances, this was a great experience. The staff were outstanding and very helpful even with the people who were not polite to them. I commend your management of the situation and the effectiveness of your staff to make people feel as relaxed as possible during this very strange an unfortunate time. Thank you for this round today, I normally have negative feedback about various issues, but today your course was dead on with organization and service.

I received a response from an advisor that said the Classic is for beginners and that I should expect slow play. Yes I do agree to some extent, what I don't agree with is that I mentioned that they were hitting 2 balls off the tee and doing it in front of me to spite me. My review overall of the entire round was honest and all I got was play the other courses then, instead of we are sorry for your inconvenience this is not acceptable. I have had great experiences playing with nice people at this course, but always the same issues. I said that it was my last round at Rolling Hills and I got the hope to see you back again comment. Now if you have taken the time to read this you will know that you skimmed through my first review and did not take it seriously because if you did, then you wouldn't have just shrugged your shoulders and said go to another course. I enjoyed playing there but I guess because I don't have a membership or I don't play everyday, my opinion or money doesn't matter. Well I will find another course probably even closer to my home than Rolling Hills and play there maybe I can have better luck with the etiquette than I have had at this course.

Once again I have the same issues but this is the last time I will comment. I was playing behind a twosome. of ladies when I started my round. There was a twosome of gentlemen 2 holes ahead of them by the time I finished 3rd hole, the ladies still were waiting for this pair to finish the 4th so they could tee off. After that it was just downhill. The ladies were parking their cart on the apron of the greens even on the longer holes so I couldn't tee off and were celebrating when they made putts like they were on the lpga. The pairing that started I don't know when after me caught up to me and had to wait until they finished, or when they played through the gentlemen, the gentlemen finished. They were an extreme amateur and a first time player and were hitting 2 off the tee on many holes even when I was right there watching. It was just a reminder of why rules are in place but unfortunately the marshals were only around for the first 4 or 5 holes and not too many more. This was my last round of the year and most likely my last round at Rolling Hills. The staff are great, but unfortunately the Challenge course and the Bethesda course I think are more important because I have been told and witnessed the marshal's out there more than on the Classic. It's a shame because I like the course but I am tired of having the same issues every time and nothing changing.

I should stop reviewing the course because it is always the same issues, but maybe after enough times something might be done. Pace of play and course etiquette are always an issue, but yesterday was an exception. We had the marshall actually ask us to pick up the pace after the slow twosome in front of us had finally been asked to leave the course. That was very insulting and we all thought afterwards very uncalled for. He said he knew it wasn't our fault, but even still, why would you even say it. In my opinion it was very rude and crass to ask people who are keeping pace as much as possible to go faster when the groups on front of them are slow and the marshall has either warned them at removed them.

Once again I have the same problem with the Classic course, slow play and no etiquette. The group ahead of my playing partner and I started 25 minutes before us and we caught them by the 4th hole. As well, people opposite tee blocks and fairways hitting errant shots weren't yelling to let us know. Also, we never once saw a marshall on the course, but that was probably due to the tournament happening at the same time. I love this course, it's just a little annoying that this is an ongoing problem.

To have 8 people booked at the same time is inexcusable. It put myself and 3 other people almost 30 minutes behind. Now that being said, the foursome in front of us didn't help by slow play but it was just a really busy day apparently. The bunkers are still a nightmare and solid as cement, and the greens are a bit dry but overall alright. I like this course for the most part, but it seems the last few times I have been able to play it has not gone my way with other golfers etiquette or pace.

Once again I have a problem with people at this course teeing off and not yelling out for their wayward balls. I was playing with and elderly lady and gentlemen today and twice were almost hit on the tee box by people not yelling after hitting their errant balls. Not a real issue for me I am young enough to move quickly when I hear or see a ball coming in, but they are both over 80 and that is unacceptable behavior for anyone on the course. I talked to both parties about their actions and they said they yelled but this course is small enough that I would have heard. This is an ongoing problem with this course because of the tight fairways, but etiquette must be adhered to no matter what.

As usual this course has members that don't have any golf etiquette. I was 3 holes behind a couple when I teed off this morning and caught up to them by my 5th hole. They were playing 2 or 3 balls off of every tee and even with me ready on the block right behind, still wouldn't hurry up. I am not going to rush my game to try to play past them but they didn't even bother to stop and offer to let me. Not very polite.

Once again my biggest problem with this course is the lack of knowledge of golf etiquette. A few different things happened today that really upset me and makes me think not to come back. First, people teeing off on short holes while we were still on the green. We have to wait for the group ahead to finish before we start, but the group behind didn't have the same courtesy. Second, people driving on the greens and tee blocks with their carts. This is horrible and when you tell them they either claim to not understand or they get offended. I found a marshall and told him he caught them and talked with them but it didn't matter. Third, I was nearly hit by errant balls again without any warning. This is a continuous problem and something has to be done. I discussed this with employees again as well as cross fairway play and was told that management/ownership has informed them to not tell them how not to do things because it may upset them and they may not return. Well it's annoyed me enough that I may not return because the rules are not being enforced. My once a week round is apparently not as important as the members who think they are above the rules. There are many other courses available to play with that are willing to enforce the rules and not allow the members to abuse them just so they don't get upset. I am sorry to say that I am probably not going to return to this course because of the lack of respect for the average non member who wants to play a relaxing round without being almost hit by balls or seeing someone run wherever they want with their cart.

Once again I am making an observation about this course and the lack of knowledge of etiquette by the players. I was fortunate enough not to be hit twice my last round by errant balls that were not yelled out. I have now brought this up to staff for the third time this year and hopefully my suggestion of having a meeting or sending out a mandatory agreement to be signed by all members will be taken seriously. I love this course but if I get hit by a ball, I will definitely be making sure someone knows how upset that I am.
