Aerated Greens, but Still Fun

Went out on a Monday afternoon and we were almost the only group out there. Course is on the short side, but still fun if you're looking to practice your short irons and wedges. Only thing that was disappointing is that they had just aerated their greens and we were not notified prior.

Amazing Course to Play!

Course was in great condition. Pace of play was faster than it usually is, which was nice. There's a usual bottle-neck on the second tee because it's a reachable par 4 for some big hitters.

The course is very challenging to play, but so much fun to play. It's the only course around where I could shoot 90 and still walk away smiling. At $50 for a round with a cart, it's worth every penny.

A Fun Little Quirky Executive Course!

Let's get a few things out of the way first: (a) if you're looking for lush fairways and immaculate greens, this isn't a course for you; (b) if you're looking for a course to take clients to, this isn't a course for you; (c) if you're looking for picturesque landscapes and backdrops for every hole, this isn't a course for you; (d) if you're a long hitter and expect to hit driver on all par 4's and par 5's, this isn't a course for you.

If you're looking for a course to practice the fundamentals of the game, challenge your iron accuracy, or to just go out for a day and hit a ball around a golf course pressure free, this is the course for you.

I hadn't played this course since I was a junior golfer (15 years ago) and I wanted to try it again for nostalgia. Even though the course was in rough shape in certain areas, I had lots of fun playing this course again. I will definitely return in the near future to work on my iron game.

I'm glad that I started learning the game at this course because it's difficult in it's own unique way. The greens are very small and most of them are raised (think Augusta-style domed greens). If you're looking for a course to challenge your iron play, this is the course.

If you're a long hitter (280+), almost every par 4 on the course presents itself as a risk-reward hole. The course was wide open when I played (saw 4 other people on the course at 2:00pm on a Saturday) so I was able to play both types of shots off every tee. If you're planning on going for the green off the tee, you better make sure accurate. Some fairways are no wider than 10 yards, and the vast amount of mature foliage does an excellent job at protecting par.

When I played, most of the greens could use some TLC as they were heavily damaged in some areas. All the greens run very slow, so they're very forgiving on errant chips and putts. I went to this course to work on my iron game and wedge play, so the conditions of the greens didn't bother me too much.

Playing this course for $20 or less makes many of the shortcomings of the course disappear. It serves a niche purpose as a great short-game practice course.

Thanks a lot for a great round! I'll definitely return for a few more rounds this season!

Great course; Walkers nightmare!

Went out with my father and we were both quite surprised with the condition of this golf course. It's in great shape! Neither of us had played this course, but we'll definitely return! I thought it was a tough walk for 18, so we'll definitely take a cart next time. No problem with the pace of play, but, to be fair, we were playing on a Wednesday afternoon. We both had lots of fun! Thanks for a great round!

Needs improvement on all areas

Let me start off by saying that, unless I'm mistaken, this is the most expensive course in it's area, and offers no real discounts to golfers, when, considering the course condition and friendliness of clubhouse staff, maybe it should.

The course needs a lot of maintenance. The tee boxes are horrendous, the greens are covered with ball marks, the fairways are 33% divots, and the whole course could use a lot of water and a cut. For how much it was to play, I would have expected much more for my money.

Play was slow. Extremely slow. Painfully slow. After the first hole, I set a timer on my phone to see how much time I wasted waiting for the group ahead of me to play so I could hit my shot. The total time spent waiting on tee boxes/fairways was 2h15m.

Marshall's on the course were pretty much non-existent. I talked to one of them during one of my 10-minute+ waits on a tee-box, and this is because instead of monitoring the pace of place on the course, they're instructed to fill divot holes on the course instead. Maybe management should use some money from the overpriced green fees to hire a couple extra maintenance workers.

The only positive element of the day were the cart girls. I was never thirsty, so thank you.

I will never return to this course again. I would never recommend this course to a friend. Other alternatives: Mystic ($54 w/ cart), Crosswinds ($56) or Willow Valley ($34)
