Power Ranch Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2022Meh.
Greens are in rough shape. Fairways dry and patchy. No sand in the bunkers. No bad if they want $30 but for what they are charging, it’s silly. Practice green apparently caught an errant bombing run from Luke AFB. Staff is always great though.

Course is hammered. It’s mid Jan, peak season, and the greens look like mid September. It’s horrible. Pace of play is the pits. Check all their reviews, they say the same. A great $20 course, past that, go elsewhere.

Raven Golf Club - Phoenix
Played On 07/31/2020Still in great shape in the midst a hot AZ summer
118* in PHX this week and the Raven is still in good shape. Greens are coming back after being aerated but that's to be expected. Wide, forgiving fairways. Bunkers need help. Filled with rocks and barely enough sand to make a shot. And the one with sand are filled with water from the sprinklers. Not bad, just don't hit into the sand.

Course is in great shape for this time of the year. Extremely happy for the money.
Papago Golf Course
Played On 07/13/2020Totally not worth the money.
Just a local muni course with nicer bunkers. I realize it’s mid July, but I could play Dinosaur mt twice for what it costs and it’s twice the course. Great course for $20, but certainly not for $60
Superstition Springs Golf Club
Played On 03/14/2020Terrible, I’d rather play mini golf
Signed up for 18 holes on GN. Got to the course to find out that the front was completely closed due to excess water. And they had so many people shoved into the back that playing 9 twice was out of the question. Due to the number of people, 9 holes took 2.5 hours. The back was soaked, every bunker was a water trap, and even mid fairway was either a mud hole or the grass was so deep that you couldn’t find your ball, even right in the middle. The tee boxes haven’t been mowed in at least a week, teeing off without a tee was useless. If your shot didn’t hit the fairway, forget it. You could see your ball hit the ground and still not find it, the grass and weeds are that high. That seems to be the standard for this course as I remember it being that way when I last played it. I could have lived with all of it, and have before, if they weren’t charging their premium 9 hole rate, just five dollars less than their 18 hole rate. Either close the course or tell people up front that it’s a mud fest and charge them half price if they still want to play. I played solely because I had one of my young sons with me and had promised him a round and going somewhere else at that time of day wasn’t an option. Never again. This place is run very poorly
Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 08/21/2020Awful
Calling this a goat track is correct but still an insult to all the indigenous peoples around the globe scratching out a meager living by herding goats. It’s almost unreal that these fairways are lined with multi million dollar homes. Maybe they should mutiny and demand that something be done, like some mowing or edging. I can’t believe I paid $40 in peak summer for this sack of yak excrement. I called the cops and told them I got robbed but they said they receive too many of the same calls about this place to do anything about it. Maybe if the price drops to $10 I’ll consider it again, but only when they get the giant mud puddles cleared from every “fairway”
