Broad Run Golfer's Club
Played On 07/13/2023Great layout and views, BUT...
I would have given 5 stars if not for the greens. They were bumpy and slow. At least roll them if they were purposely made slower for pace of play concerns. Also, the greenside bunker on hole 2 was hard pan underneath, which caused me to fly it over the green. The other 2 bunkers I found myself in during the round were completely fine.
Rock Manor Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2021greens could use some rolling
For the amount of play that this course gets throughout the year, it's in pretty good shape. Only complaint is that the greens were very bumpy and need to be rolled.
Inniscrone Golf Club
Played On 11/10/2021Greens were covered in leaves
I get that Inniscrone can be rough around the edges, which is something that I find appealing, but when it comes to the greens I am less forgiving. About a third of the greens were almost completely covered in leaves, twigs, and those helicopter leaves. It looks like there was no effort to clear them earlier in the day. Since the leaves are still falling I guess I won't be back until next spring/summer.
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
Played On 07/29/2020Very humbling course but I love it
Keep it in the fairways and you can score well, but bring your A game because certain holes can gobble up your ball (eg, par 5 15th). Shot placement is a must here.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating, howitzer09! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park!
Inniscrone Golf Club
Played On 05/24/2020Excellent test of golf
I have a love/hate relationship with this course. It's by far the toughest course in my rotation - on par with Glen Mills. You'll have a good round as long as you keep it in the short grass and position yourself well on certain holes. Some will complain about the rough or the bunkers being poorly maintained, but that's what gives this course its character - you're not supposed to hit into them! I recently saw a Youtube vid on an old match (1962) between Byron Nelson and Gene Littler at Pine Valley. No rakes and hazards everywhere. Dare I say that Inniscrone could be a public Pine Valley, especially when the greens are fast? Bring your A-game.
Fantastic! Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Inniscrone Golf Club.
Ed Oliver Golf Club
Played On 10/05/2019Kudos to the golf course superintendent
If you've played this course over the years, you know how badly conditions would deteriorate this time of year after a busy and hot summer. Well, not anymore. The course is in fantastic shape, especially the greens. The tee boxes could use some more tlc but they're still very playable - people who complain are just coming up with excuses for a bad round - or they're comparing it to a premier public course or private country club experience, which is ludicrous. If Ed Oliver had the budget and manpower I'm sure the entire course would be picture perfect, but you can't beat the value for the money here. I play a lot of the area courses (DE, PA, and NJ) and this place rates highly on my list as the best value for the money.
Thank you for this amazing review! We appreciate your kind words. We are so glad that you find value in our course and enjoy the excellent conditions our team has been able to maintain during the busy hot summer. Looking forward to having you back again soon.
Golden Pheasant Golf Club
Played On 06/15/2019Nice course but greens need to be faster
Played on a Saturday with my dad. We were paired up with another twosome. Pace of play was a bit slow probably due to an earlier outing, but overall a good day of golf. There are a few holes on the front 9 that require some course knowledge when hitting your tee shot: holes 4, 7, and 9. If you're not careful with your club selection you can drive it through the fairway.
If the greens were faster the course would be perfect.
Hihowitzer09. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Golden Pheasant Golf Club.
Mountain View Golf Course
Played On 06/08/2018nice course but would not pay full price to play it
First time playing this course. Overall it was very nice. Decent fairways and good greens although a bit on the slow side. Watch out for the third hole. There's a big drop off area and pond that runs through the fairway. Luckily I drove the ball right before the bunker near the 150 yard marker. If it's your first time playing here it definitely pays off to drive up to take a look - you kind of have to anyway to make sure the group ahead has cleared the fairway. I would play here again but only if there's a hot deal.
Ron Jaworski's RiverWinds Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 09/25/2016Great views of Philly and Delaware river
This was my second time playing this course. Conditions were very good considering this is late in the season and we've had very little rain late in the summer. As other reviewers have mentioned, I wish the greens were a little faster. Otherwise, fantastic place to play.
White/Red at Ramblewood Country Club
Played On 07/17/2016Nice course
I don't live in the immediate area but I was visiting family so I decided to give this course a try. The last time I had played here was long before Jaworski too over. The course conditions (I played Red and White - the Blue course was a little backed up), especially the greens, are much improved. If I'm in the area again I would definitely play here.
Cream Ridge Golf Club
Played On 06/11/2016Nice course
Nice layout. Not long but the difficulty of some of the greens make up for it. Especially the greens on the back 9. For example, on the 15th I ended up below the hole in two. I left the first putt about a foot short of the hole, but because of the pin placement it rolled back about 15 ft. I ended up 3 putting. There were about 4 greens like this on the back 9.
Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 06/04/2016Nice course.
It's always fun and challenging to play here. Shot placement is key if you want to score low at this course. The only downside was all of the geese droppings on a few holes - some even on the greens.
Rancocas Golf Club
Played On 05/28/2016Greens are much better
First time playing here this season and I have to say I was impressed with how well they've re-conditioned the greens. If you can find a good deal online this place is definitely worth it.
The Club at Pine Forest
Played On 02/14/2016Nice course
I'm from the Philly area and was passing through on my way to Florida. I saw the good reviews online and decided to book a tee time. When I arrived it was nearly empty. Probably because the temp was in the low 40s, but to me it felt like spring considering back home it had been in the teens with winds making it feel like below zero! I pretty much had the course to myself. I saw other people playing but they were a couple of holes ahead of me. I could tell that the course during warmer months must be a gem; the fairways were all brown except the greens. Can't complain though since I don't get to play in Feb. too often, if at all, in the Philly area. The layout is pretty challenging with water hazards throughout much of the course. The greens are relatively small and most of them were very undulating and fairly quick. I would not recommend this place for beginners or high handicappers. I would love to come back someday and play this course when my A game is on.
Hi howitzer09,
Thank you for stopping by and playing with us on your way to FL! We love that you had a great time with us and the weather was great for you!
We can not wait for your next trip down south so you can play with us again!
Best Wishes,

Rancocas Golf Club
Played On 12/12/2015What happened to the greens?!
Beautiful December weather but can't say the same for the course. Lots of brown spots in the fairways and the greens were in terrible condition. They were littered with dead grass and dead spots so bad that they filled them with sand. For the amount of play that this course receives you would think the course would be better maintained, ie, where are the greens fees going towards? I will not play this course again until it starts to receive more positive reviews.
Mercer Oaks Golf Course - West Course
Played On 08/22/2015Great course
Played the West course. Great experience. Nothing negative to say about this place.
Rancocas Golf Club
Played On 05/25/2015Horrible greens
First time playing this course this year but been here a number of times in the past. The greens are in bad shape. For example, on the 8th I ended up hole high with a slick downhiller. After delicately tapping the ball I watched in disbelief as the ball zigzagged toward the hole and eventually went off line. I would not play this course without a hot deal.
Springfield Country Club
Played On 11/25/2012Fairways need better maintenance.
I played here over the summer time and it was in decent shape. But even back then I noticed that there were lots of dry/bare spots in the fairways. Construction aside the fairways were no better this time around. But I got a great deal online so really can't complain - to me it's still a better alternative to hitting balls at a driving range.
Broad Run Golfer's Club
Played On 11/18/2012Great layout and the course was in good shape.
Some of the fairway bunkers were not maintained at all - I'm guessing due to the time of year and post-hurricane Sandy damage. Can't complain though. Got a great deal online at a course with a spectacular layout and views.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Inniscrone Golf Club.
