Great course

Had a great time today! Luckily, I got to play with a member (Frank C.) who was knowledgeable about the layout and a joy to play alongside, even if I didn’t meet his level of play.

Great Father's Day !!!

Played a great round of golf for Father's Day with my son and his wife (who is pregnant with their first child). My wife rode along but doesn't play. Conditions were wet with a steady light rain but it didn't matter, we still had a lot of fun. The Ranger and the Starter were very nice, cracking jokes and making sure we felt right at home. The course was in great shape. The greens were slow (wet conditions) and had some subtle tricky breaks and pin placements that you really had to pay attention to. All in all a fantastic value and I look forward to playing there again.

half and half couse - half easy half hard

I play this course about 5 to 6 times a year while I'm up at the lake. I played with my son who is just learning the game and has a hard time with consistency on his shots so we like to play alone since I don't want to mess with someone else's game. We had a single join us and although he was understanding it was uncomfortable when he was trying to play a normal game. In any case the course's greens and pin placements were such that you had to drive the ball into the hole anything slow would break severely when getting close to the cup. I 3 putted 6 greens (which I never do) so I didn't score well. They also leave the grass very long around the greens so if you are not a good 'chipper' then you lose shots there too (which I did). Although the greens are fairly large you need to pay attention to control your approach shots because being on the wrong spot on the green means at least a 2 putt.

Good use of Farmland !!!

Yes it is flat but play it from the back tees and you will find that there are a lot of decisions to make on laying up or going for it with all the carry areas on many holes that are not necessarily near the Greens. Several bunkers will give you trouble on slightly elevated Greens depending on pin placement. Overall, we like this course because even when you hit a wayward shot you can scramble to save Par.
