Played Thursday in high winds. Course was most empty except for two groups in front of us that were getting ready for the masters. Extremely slow.

Also golfnow should have identified that the front nine haas been sprayed to kill everything to get ready for the greens and fairways. Back nine is nice and was redone last year. Looking forward to playing it next year.

Course has been updated with new greens and tee blocks.

Only issue was a fivesome that backed up the course. They started as 2 sine and 3 some and then joined up in second hole.

Played on a hot deal. Staff were the best thing about this golf course. From bag drop staff to the starter to pro shop staff we were impressed. . Good practice range. Pace was great as we played early in the morning. As for the course, Found the greens very slow. Course conditions were OK but the hot deal made it worth while. I would not pay rack rate to travel from Cape Coral to play this course. Looks like they are working to improve the course. Thank you again to great staff.

Played TI with friends., Course had just been too dressed therefore was wet. Carts were limited to rough only which is why it took 5 hours and my poor rating on pace of play. Understandable. We play this course 4 or 5 times a year. Love the layout. Greens are In Great shape, Unfortunately people don’t like fixing ball marks which is not the course fault. Only disappointment is the price of beer. A round of four beer is $32, That is the most expensive round of beer I have ver seen in any course we have played in Florida. We use to purchase from the pro shop previous years and it was very reasonable. If I recall $3 per beer. So very disappointed about the price of the beer cart. But other than pace of play and cost of beer it was enjoyable day with friends.

We were looking forward to playing Riverwood as we loved the course but we had not played it since COVID..
We arrived at 120 for our 1252 tee time. Surprising very few cars in parking lot. Thought that was a pleasant surprise. When checking in at pro shop we were told it was cart path only as they were overseeding the fairways. We had prepaid $180 for my wife and I so we decided to go ahead.
As it was not busy I asked if we could go early as no one was one the tee and we forego the wonderful practice facility they have. The staff were very accommodating. The starter told us, 1) cart path only, 2) the sprinkler may come on at anytime 3). Fairways has not been cut in several day and tone cautious if we heard them coming on.
To make a long story short. 1) course was a wetland, Basically a lot of casual water and some pooling in the fairways, 2) cart path only is also a hassle having to carry 3 of 4 clubs across a fairway only to discover you still have the wrong club. Was more difficult for my wife who just hit whatever club she had in her hand.
Greens are pretty good. Surprised to see clover on one very small patch on one green. 3) a lot of storm damage off the fairways. Use to be a very beautiful course but going to be year to clean it up. No one fault.nature happens.

Staff are wonderful. From the greeter, to the proshop, starter and of course the friendly beverage lady.

But overall. A big disappointment paying $180 to play this course. Heritage landing and Heron creek are a much better course for less money.

Nice course, Good layout, fairways in good condition. Some nice views of sSuperstition Mountain. Greens were not 100% as I expect like all other course in this area they have been recently reseeded. Nice views. Met a couple fellow Canadians from west coast. Although one was an oilers fan and I am a Maple Leaf fan I agreed that McDavid should have won the MVP last year over Mathews. 😜

Pace was a touch slow but we teed off on time at 1245 and finished in 4 hours and 15. Marshall did come around a couple times. 90 degree rule on carts was better than cart path only.

Despite the fact over seeding was recently done the greens were very quick. Unfortunately it was cart path only so has some long walks to our ball.
Sawgrass hole was a treat. Easy pin placement at the back.

We attempted to play a second time but we got rained out on the back nine. Golfnow did refund us half of our fee. The pro shop would not as it was booked through golfnow.

Would definitely play it again.

Love this course. But pace of play is always slow. Wait every shot. But to be honest, that is good on Florida.
Played 9 times this year. Great layout, ladies love the 4200 yard course as gives them a shot at birdies. But you can also play from 7000 yards. So pick your poison. Challenging course. Greens are huge. Very hard and don’t hold.
Staff is very friendly.

Was impressed. Course is in great shape.
Booked on golf now. There is an additional charge for cart as the rate we received was a “walking rate”.

This was our first time playing this course. We were pleasantly surprised. As we were early the starter allowed us to play by ourselves which given these times was very comforting.
This is the first time we ever tipped the starter and bag guys not to touch our clubs.
Course is very scenic and a nice layout. GPS on carts and lots of markers to identify distance to water on tees.
I played the back tees which was still challenging with water on every hole. Greens are postage stamps and little slow but if you hit the the flag you can expect the ball to stop abruptly which is a bonus with such small greens. As this was a free round on Golfnow I did not comment on value for the money.
Was nice to see the starter and the pro shop workers wearing gloves and clearly taking the spread of this deadly virus.
We had a new accessory, a bottle of Mr clean disinfectant.
We will be back next year for sure.

We had a great day on the course. Played with a nice couple from Erie Pennsylvania. Gail was a 7 time club champion at her course and she cleaned our clocks. Think she shot 76 or 77. Nice to watch!
Great staff, all electric carts that really move. Course is in great shape. Lots of water so you need to keep the ball in play off the tee to score. Pace of play was excellent. 4 hours. Two thumbs up.
Nice to see a marshal on the course. Great to see as courses such as Heritage
Landing, Shell point, Rapter Bay and Eagle ridge do not seem to care that the rounds there take 4.5 hours plus. Those course don’t seem to care that there are groups that back up the whole course. All great courses but no Marshall’s. It seems they monitor the course in the morning when members play and don’t worry after the members are done. So playing Magnolia Landing was a pleasure.

Funny storey., Gator stole a ball on the 16th hole. Was hilarious as we could see the ball that our playing partner, (Steve) hit off the tee was sitting beside the gator in the water. When we approached the gator actually put his paw on the ball. I have never seen that before. He was protecting the ball. I went to the green behind him and made some noise and the gator took off.
Overall. Great day great course, great company. Greens hold and roll well.

We booked through golfnow when we arrived to find that the proshop did not have our tee times, however they had something that they received that showed our time but they failed to put it on the tee time. They squeezed us in and asked us to start on the back nine. We caught up with a group on the second hole and waited every shot for 17 holes.
At one point I saw a fellow that was playing and I noticed he was an employee. He was obviously off duty but I asked him why they did not have rangers. He said if I called the pro shop they may send someone out but likely only ask the group to speed up. We figured when we got to the front nine they would be gone. No suck luck as apparently they also started on the back. 4 hours and forty minutes is unreasonable. Ridiculous. We could see at least two open holes ahead of this group
At one time golfers use to care they were holding up other golfers. Seems lately no one cares. Also seem like the golf courses only seem to police traffic early in the morning when their members are playing. For green fee players they have your money so who cares??
As for the course, I love this course. Played it several times. Just very frustrating. Courses in Florida in prime season need Marshalls.
