Champions Nest Golf Club - Red Course
Played On 09/18/2017Variety in terms of layout
Contrary to earlier in the season, the course was relatively dry making for much better playing conditions. However, the amount of falling leaves is starting to be a problem.
Copperdale Golf Club
Played On 08/19/2016Revamped and improved
Having last played here a few years back I was struck at the site of what appeared to be a brand new course to me. My last recall was that of a very dry, hard-packed terrain and rough turf interaction. Not anymore. The fairways were green and well cut allowing for a clean ball strike. The approaches to the greens were much improved as were the latter. The wide variety of sloping grounds favoured a good test of one's striking capacity. All in all a pleasant experience.

Played On 07/08/2015Be sharp
This is a course where you have to be accurate given the abundance of bunkers and the intimidating water hazards. Long and straight shooters will do well. For others, beware. The large impeccable fairways are quite receptive and the fast multilevel greens test your putting. The greenery is spectacular.
Iroquois Golf Club
Played On 05/21/2015A flat pack
The main appealing point of this course are the holes bordering the St. Lawrence River which make for a nice scenic outlook on their edges. You can't get a course much flatter than this, very suitable to walking.

This constitutes a nice par3 course that offers an excellent opportunity to hone this part of anyone's game.
Sand Point Golf Course

While being relatively flat, the design presents some attractive hole layouts. Par 3s are interesting. The greens were in superb condition.
Kingsway Park Golf and Country Club
Played On 10/24/2014Nice layout
The course offers interesting hazard placements that requires well placed shots from all angles. There are a few blind shots that could land one in bunkers. The variety of scenery is enjoyable.
Cedarhill Golf and Country Club
Played On 10/11/2014Intriguing configuration
This is a lovely course that gives the appearance of being compact without overly long holes. It has amazing par 3s. Almost all greens slope downwards making putting a tricky thing.
Stittsville Golf Course
Played On 09/29/2014Laidback course
There are many doglegs that test your accuracy. It is not a must to drive long, but good positioning is rewarded.
Falcon Ridge Golf Club - Championship
Played On 09/26/2014Calm rustic course
The layout is interesting meandering between multiple wetlands. There are uphill holes, especially the last one offering a dogright lane that finishes on a very steep uphill. The course presents well designed holes throughout.
Richmond Centennial Golf Club
Played On 09/19/2014Leisurely stroll around bunch of hazards
After a quiet front nine that is relatively calm one sets out onto a back nine that is alive with water hazards, large swaths of swampy terrain and plenty of trees that keeps you chasing after balls if not accurate in your play. Albeit a short course, it is a nice test for an average golfer.
Gatineau Golf Club
Played On 07/20/2014This corse has many attractions
Tee off areas were very nice. The well groomed fairways were cut just right to facilitate club selection. Greens were extremely fast and provided one of the main challenges. The expansive fairways provided room to manoeuvre. Scattered mounds and hills added to the charm of the course.
Cedar Glen Golf Course
Played On 07/11/2014This course is well doglegged
Several of the doglegs on this course force you to be accurate or trouble awaits. Fairways and greens were in very nice shape. In many cases hazards parallel fairways calling for careful consideration in shot selection.
Upper Canada Golf Course
Played On 06/27/2014Framed by water
The course was in nice shape. Well kept fairways and smooth rolling greens. Although not overly busy, I was forced to hop between holes to overcome backups.
Club de Golf Mont Ste Marie

Nation Golf Course
Played On 10/23/2013The course has nice variety.
At this time of year the grounds were in splendid condition. The greens were nice and fast. The fairways had largely withstood the not inconsiderable precipitations we've had recently. It was a pleasure to navigate.
Renfrew Golf Club
Played On 8/5/2013This course has a nice design.
Many great views on several holes. The bumpy, hilly terrain requires good shot positioning as there are many blind shots scattered all over. It is a difficult course for an average player and a worthy challenge.
Timber Run Golf and Country Club
Played On 6/21/2013The course is in wonderful shape.
With little traffic, the first nine went very fast. However, the second nine was played in heavy traffic with players criss-crossing holes at random causing some confusion. This does not deter from the beauty and quality of the course. The layout is very nice and the par 3's offer interesting challenges.
Sandy Row Golf Club
Played On 6/15/2013This course has a nice layout.
This was my first visit to this course. With its separate hitting stations for each hole, this makes it an original way to replay the9-hole course. The layout is interesting offering unique designs on a few par 4's that I have not encountered anywhere else. Approaches to greens require accuracy and provides ample opportunity to test one's wedges. An enjoyable round in a quiet surrounding.
NationView Golf Course
Played On 5/28/2013The course was in very good shape
The fairways are very well delineated and are helpful in adjusting your alignment. The greens are beautiful and somewhat fast. This is a course that demands good shot placement as there are several hidden areas on approaches to greens. Very challenging for a high handicapper as the par 5's are fairly demanding.
Thank you for your thorough review of the course! We always enjoy hearing different perspectives on the course! We look forward to your next visit!
