Castlerock Golf Club - Bann
Played On 07/06/2017Affordable Links Golf
This course is nine holes and was a very affordable way to play links golf without breaking the bank. Although the course is relatively short it is challenging particularly when you play it for the first time as there are several blind shots and shots needing careful placement. Any ball reaching the rough was challenging to find and escaping from the rough when (or if) you found it also proved difficult at times. Playing the nine holes for the second time around made it easier to navigate. A thoroughly enjoyable course with a friendly reception. Thoroughly recommended

Played On 10/09/2015Great Course, Friendly Staff
The course was in great condition and has some really interesting and challenging holes with an abundance of water. It requires thinking through. I played with my wife (high handicap) who also enjoyed the course, its variety and the appropriateness of the tees for varying abilities.
Staff very friendly and the pace of play perfect. Would thoroughly recommend this course to others. Picturesque and great for seeing birds and butterflies too!
ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 10/08/2015Great New Course
The course was in great condition and very interesting with a broad range of challenging holes. Greens were quick and in great shape. Staff very friendly and helpful...thoroughly enjoyable and recommended.
Some parts of the course construction are not yet complete (e.g. some water hazards do not yet have water in them) but this did detract at all from the golfing experience
Signposting for the course was not good and Sat Nav location from GolfNow site took us to the other Championsgate courses...only took a further 5 minutes to find with local advice
ChampionsGate Country Club
Played On 10/07/2015Great Course, Friendly Staff
This course was in great condition an, coupled with an early morning start allowed my wife and I to experience a very relaxed 2 ball round in less than 4 hours.
The course has a variety of holes, elevation, shapes and hazards with a good choice of tees for varying levels of golfers to choose an appropriate round to match their abilities. The greens were varying in size and shape, quick and true. Fairways were wide and accommodating The course was very well maintained.
Some holes still have still to be finished with sand currently present where water hazards are shown on the map, and the current clubhouse is a temporary cabin. This did not detract at all from the golf but may influence people looking for a relaxing 19th hole. Staff were very friendly and helpful
I would recommend this course to any golfer
Crooked Cat at Orange County National
Played On 10/01/2015Good Course Slow Play
My wife and I were paired with another mixed couple who suggested we play from the white (men) and gold (ladies) tees.
The course was in good condition and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did however follow 3 all male 4 balls who started slowly and continued to get slower as the round went on even with Course Ranger cajoling on 3 occasions. We were waiting on the tee at every hole. The last 4 holes took an hour and fifteen minutes resulting in a total of a 5 hour & 20 minute round! Far too slow for a comfortable and enjoyable round.
Suggest
1. that the course score card updated to show the recommended tees for handicap ability/ranges (e.g. as per other local courses) and that players are "encouraged" to play within their abilities and/or
2. Continual slow play should result in either groups being asked by the Ranger to miss a hole/holes or wave quicker players through.
Celebration Golf Club
Played On 09/30/2015Good Course
The course is a good layout with some interesting holes. Staff very friendly and helpful.
When we played the fairways were very wet in parts resulting in buggies not being allowed on the course and several areas of "casual water" on the fairways. This slowed up the play a little and detracted from the overall experience slightly.
We played as a pair and were paired with another couple which worked out OK. Would recommend this course
Howley Hall Golf Club
Played On 09/13/2015Compact Course
The course was in reasonably good condition with some greens hollow tined and sanded at time of playing reducing the overall rating.
Professional shop staff very pleasant and helpful.

Played On 08/24/2015Pleasant Round of Golf
My wife and I played a very relaxing round of golf. The pro was very welcoming when we arrived and the course was in good condition with some wet areas on the fairways and bunkers due to recent heavy rain but the greens were in good condition.
We apologize about the pace of play and appreciate your feedback. Thank you for playing our course and we are glad to hear you found it in great shape.
