About
Not a particularly long hitter, but hit a lot of fairways. Short game is streaky as is putting. Try to play about twice a week. Work part-time as a starter-ranger at a municipal course.

The National Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/05/2021Very nice course snd for time being a great bargain.
Just saw a review complaining about amenities of this course. If that is a major condition of your course selection I would suggest another Naples course. But be advised that to find another course within 200 miles of this caliber you will probably pay substantially more. So enjoy the beverage cart if that’s how you rate golf courses.
This is a brand new course and I would rate it as excellent. Very nice track, extremely playable for all levels of golfers.. Overall condition of fairways and greens is unusually good for such a new course.
While everybody working there were more than friendly and helpful, it is true they don’t have some of the typical amenities yet. We’re talking about something that will certainly be remedied in a matter of weeks if not days. That said this is unquestionably the best bargain for golf in the Naples area.
Babcock National
Played On 01/08/2021Great course, well worth the money
This is. Great track. Excellent course conditions. May take awhile to get used to fast paced of greens. Very friendly staff. Well worth the money and the 45 minute drive for me.
Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/18/2020Great course ans super people
I have played Magnolia Landing about six or seven times since early March 2020. I have also played the course many times over the past five or six years, and always enjoyed it. It’s a great track that’s always in great condition. The staff is always great for the golf as well as the bar/restaurant. Moreover, it’s a great bargain just about any time of year.
Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club

Course is always in great condition. Interesting layout, and ver fair. Super staff.
We appreciate the 5-star review, Commissioner. Be sure to book another round with us soon!
Wildcat Crossing Golf Club
Played On 02/24/2019Course in surprisingly good condition for the cost
Very nice layout. Greens and fairways were in as good a shape as courses i’ve played charging more than twice as much for green fees. The people working there could not have been nicer. I highly recommend this course.
Hello, we're glad you enjoyed our good course conditions and friendly staff. Thank you for playing Majestic Golf Club!
Poor course condition
The layout is actually pretty good. Some holes very challenging. And the folks working there couldn’t be more pleasant. Unfortunately course condition not too great. Though puttable many greens overgrown with weeds. I’ve seen worse but not too many. Some fairways very thin on grass with weeds as well. I had a “Hot Deal” from Golf Now for around $56 so they probably get at least 15% more than that. I didn’t feel the course was worth anywhere near $56 to $65. Maybe $40 tops. I know it’s not easy finding reasonably priced golf in SW Florida during the season. Even still it’s hard to justify the price for these kinds of course conditions.
Thank you for your review and we are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars. Our staff is working hard on getting the course conditions back up to par and we hope you will let us know if you ever need anything while you are here. Please come back and give us another try in the near future.
Lehigh Resort Club
Played On 03/18/2017Surpriwingly good course conditions
Really enjoyed our day at the Resort at Lehigh. Course conditions were well beyond what I expected in relation to bargain price this time of year.. Like most everyone else, I am not sure how the people who worked there could have been more any more pleasant. We played 18 which meant playing the nine hole course twice. That wasn't a problem for us. Greens may have been a little slower than a lot of courses, but they're in good conditions and still consistent. As far as layout I will call it a fair course that's fun to play. If you play it from the back tees I could see it getting substantially more difficult, but the regular men's tees are over 6,100 yards which offers a respectable challenge. Would definitely come back to this course again, especially during the season when green fees in southwest Florida tend to get a little pricey.
Panther Run Golf Club
Played On 03/21/2016Worth the drive...fun track to play
Panther Run is a fun course to play, especially for moderately talented golfers. While there are plenty of hazards the fairways are generously wide. I played the course around 5900 yards, but I expect the longer tees would make play considerably tougher. Very well designed course in that it seems to offer something to players at all levels. The conditioning couldn't have been better in my opinion, especially in light of the weather ground-keeping staff has had to contend with so far this year. The staff was both friendly and helpful. I am sure I'll return. Some people might think it's a bit out in the boonies, but as far as I'm concerned it's well worth the drive.
Herons Glen Championship Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/11/2016Outstanding course conditions
This is a very well manicured course. Very friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the course layout. Played a little slow that day, and we teed off 15 minutes late , but they were accommodating quite a few golfers. Playing as a threesome we expected to wait a bit. Don't recall exact time but I believe it was around 4 hrs. 20 minutes.
I was on a GN Hot Deal which made this course a bargain for the money. Not sure what their normal rates are.. I had been checking GN for a week or so to play Heron's Glen but there were never any times. Luckily I got this one the night before. The course is definitely on my list to play again. Great club house by the way.
Thank you for taking the time to review us! We're glad to hear you enjoyed your time and we look forward to seeing you again!
Eagle Ridge Golf Club
Played On 03/05/2016Nice course, good value
Very friendly staff, and they went out of their way to keep the pace of play up. We were slowed by some groups ahead of us but the rangers did everything they could to move them along. I am a ranger at a course so I know how difficult a task that is.
The course conditions were pretty good. Some of the fairways were a bit thin, but then again, this is Florida. A few grees were a bit patchy, but for the most part they were pretty good.
I have no problem recommending this course.
Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/22/2016Top tier course at a great rate
Really enjoyed the course. Great conditions, challenging but fair layout., though it looks like it would play considerably tougher from tees further back than we played. Friendly, helpful staff. Even the pace of play was fine. I have to rank Magnolia Landing as one of the better values for the money in the Ft. Myers-Naples area. The lower-priced afternoon rate started earlier than most courses allowing us to easily get in all 18 holes. We finished in slightly over four hours, and only waited a few times for a few minutes. Liked it so much we already made two tee times for the following Friday. We had a hot dog at the turn,, but the club house closed early so we couldn't stop off for a beer afterwards, which was about the only disappointment.
Old Corkscrew Golf Club
Played On 02/03/2016Great course, super conditions, very friendly staff
This is one of the best courses I have ever played in the Naples/Ft. Myers area. With the discount it was somewhat of a bargain. I had a tee time at 2pm, but went off about ten minutes early. My only surprise was that they hadn't put me with some other golfers, I figured I'd be paired up with somebody as I booked the discounted time on line that morning, but apparently it was just an open time. So I played as a single. I could have played faster if there would have been nobody ahead of me, but even still finished in well under four hours, and well before dark. To be honest, except for the guys I was following I really didn't see too many people on the course . I probably saw the beverage cart girl as much as anybody. I noticed that tee times are scheduled ten minutes apart rather than the seven minute intervals you find at a lot of courses.
The course conditions were excellent despite the heavy rain in the area recently. Staff very friendly and accommodating. After the round I stopped off at a sports bar near another course. Ran into a guy who was a member at this other course I had been considering on GolfNow who also thought highly of Old Corkscrew. He told me the price I got was indeed a bargain, and wished he'd know about it and played Old Corkscrew instead of his usual course that day. He gave me the impression that the course has a reputation as being unusually difficult. I'm a short hitter with a 14 handicap, but played it at 6220 yards an found the layout very fair, just enough of a challenge. The fairways seemed wide enough to me. In fact, I hit or nearly every one of them. Greens are fast (I three-putted the first downhiller on number one , by the way), but fairly easy to read. Great traps, that are well maintained. And then wherever you look there's some great scenery and wildlife. Unfortunately I finished around 5:30pm so the clubhouse was closing up and didn't get to see much of it.
I would really like to go back to Old Corkscrew but it will probably have to be a deal. That's not saying it's priced too high, it's just the way it is around here during the season. Golfing in southwest Florida from January through March or April is pricey, that's all.
As far as I'm concerned this is a "must play" for anyone visiting the Naples-Ft. Myers area.
Thank for you for the excellent review, Commissioner95!! We strive to provide our golfers with the very best experience. We're glad to hear that you had a fun and challenging round. Please come and visit us again soon!
Eighteen Hole at Old Wayne Golf Club
Played On 10/26/2014Fun course for golfers at all levels..
I've been a member at Old Wayne for over twenty years. The people who run the club and work there could not be more pleasant and accommodating. The course is virtually always in great condition. (Like it was for a lot of Chicago-area courses, the winter of 2013 was rough on Old Wayne, but the staff did a great job of getting things back in shape.) It's a nice track that's neither too difficult for the occasional golfer, nor too easy for more accomplished golfers. For the most part Old Wayne is a "links" style course, however, a number of the tees and greens are located in stands of large oak trees.
Hi Commissioner95
I'm trying to get to be a member here for years and no luck. Can you help me to be a member please thanks you in advance.

Villa Olivia Country Club
Played On 09/24/2014A very good value for hte money
This was the third time I played Villa Olivia this year, and on all three occasions I was very pleased. This was the third time we played the course, and we did notice a few greens needed some work, but for the most part the greens on the front nine were great. They had done some seasonal aerating on the greens on the back nine the day before, but overall the course was in pretty good condition. As far as overall course conditions I would only say that the tees were nothing special. It's a decent track, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Villa Olivia may not be as special as many courses in the area, but as far as I am concerned it's a great deal for the money.
Carriage Greens Country Club
Played On 8/21/2013Dogpatch is the best way I can describe it.
Sorry but Carriage Greens was not close to being worth $39. When you look down at the fairway and see at minimum six different kinds of grass in a six foot x six foot square you know there's a problem. But an even bigger problem is the layout of the course, which is terrible.
I won't be back. End of story.
Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Baer Course
Played On 7/11/2013I would go back to Schaumbure G.C any time.
I used to play the course when it was called Golden Acres. At that time it was known as "Concrete Acres", and I remember that club selection was critical on the greens because, to save on maintenance they kept them the length of shag carpeting. Things sure have changed. Schaumburg G.C. is like playing a private club. The folks are friendly, and the facilities top notch all around.
That said, because I'm not a resident, without some kind of a special deal from GOLF NOW, I'm thinking the normal rates are cost prohibitive for me.
Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
Played On 4/26/2013Real fun course to play and well maintained.
We've played this course a few times before. Our club is flooded so we had to go to Golf Now to find something else. The Bridges of Popular Creek ended up being a great choice. It's not long so for shorter hitters it's a particularly fun track. with lots of hazards which in most cases are easy to negotiate. About the only complaint was the back nine played very slow. We actually finished the front nine in about 2 hours but the back was closer to 3 hours. But hey, every once in awhile stuff like that happens. We'll probably go back some time this summer to take advantage of a special rate.
Pheasant Run Resort
Played On 4/21/2013very nice people
The course was only partially open because of extremely heavy rains that flooded out our private club,. However, under the circumstances even having 10 holes open is to be applauded. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the pace of play was fine and the course, what we were able to play, was in very good condition. It also was a great deal at $35, which I assume was a special discount rate because they weren't entirely open.
Hi, Commissioner95. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club. We look forward to seeing you at the course soon for another 5-star experience!
