Country Club of Silver Springs Shores
Played On 07/26/2014Early morniing rain
As usual this shores country club is in good shape, greens are looking good and I have played a few of the courses that are close to this one, and I will say the greens here are in the best shape around. that being said, I am not sure that the cost to play is worth the money they are getting. The course down the road is just as nice and you can play for less than half what it cost to play here. Over all this is an average course.

Over this course is in beautiful shape, although the greens were not a sticky as I would like, they were running pretty quick. Fairways were a little soggy in spots, due to the recent rain.
Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Champions Course
Played On 05/04/2014Perfect day, nice round.
The Memorial and Masters courses were in great shape, the greens were forgiving, yet still a challenge. It was an absolutely beautiful day for golf. The pace of play was good, because it wasn't very busy. Overall the courses were in beautiful shape.
El Diablo Golf & Country Club

This was the worst round of golf I have played since I moved to Florida. It took my threesome 5 3/4 hours to play 18 holes. The two groups in front of us must have thought they were on the tour. It took >3 hours to play the front 9. And not once did we ever see a ranger to complain to, not once did anyone come and tell them to pick up the pace. The clubhouse had a fire, so you have NO amenities, the staff we did see, were friendly, and the starter was very helpful. The overall course is beautiful, but hard to enjoy when your waiting after EVERY shot. The fairways and greens are in good to excellent shape, with the grass around the greens being a little long, but manageable. This course, in my opinion is not worth the money they are asking you to play. If you wanna waste a whole day, and never get into your golf rhythm, then by all means play here. But, come repaired, plenty of balls, snacks, and water.
Stone Creek Golf Club
Played On 01/18/2014Fairways and greens.
We play this course often and had some good luck with the weather, this was not one of those days. But with that being said, the fairways were in great shape, and looked to be even better with some moisture. The greens on the other hand were not in bad shape...to look at, but playing on them was a different story. It seemed to me that they were cut way to short, and for the most part very sandy. I am not sure what they were on a stint meter, but it wasnt in favor of the putter. They wouldn't hold a chip, or any iron from anywhere on the course. I had a 125 yard shot to the green, and hit a rocket 52 degree wedge, and found my ball on the backside off the green. When I found my divot on the green, the ball had rolled some 60 feet off the green. This is not always the case with this course, but the last two times we played, the greens were not very forgiving. Overall this is a great course and one of my favorites. In marion county.
Lake Diamond Golf & Country Club

One of the best courses for the money. Great prices, just as good of a course as it neighbor, with better greens and friendlier staff.
Marion Oaks Country Club
Played On 4/21/2013Putting on the browns.
This is the third time I have brought a group to play at Marion Oaks, and this time I thought it would be better. Now dont get me wrong, for 15 bucks, what can you expect, but It was brought to my attention that the 15 bucks was an internet special only. If i had paid the regular rate, this review would have been considerably lower. The "club house" has a limited stock of everything, and they dont have a large variety of anything, except warrior equipment, which btw, owns this course. Then you get out to the tee boxes and overall they are ok, but then comes the browns ( ie; the greens) absolutely the worst in ocala.
