Course was in decent shape. Some of the tees need watering but overall a fun day out.

Played the course a few years back and it has improved since then. Still work to be done though. Built on solid clay, the ground was so hard it was tough to even get a tee into it. Greens were inconsistent, and the course was a lot hilly than it appears. Definite cart course next time.
But for $20, no waits, and fairly wide open, not a bad value.

Simply put, the course was in nice shape. Best greens I have seen all year. But the lack of marshalling dragged the round out to 4 and a half hours plus. There was one sloooooooooooooow foursome in front of us which held up the two guys we were following, our twosome and the three folks behind us. It was an absolute farce. All on one of the hottest days of the year. It is not thet diffficult to enforce pace of play.

Cedar Hill is the most convenient course for me to play at, but, other than that, there is not a lot to draw me back. Course is in decent shape, but I am just not a fan of the layout. The last time I'd played there was 10 years ago and nothing has really changed. Hard teeboxes, fairways and greens means you get a lot of roll, I don't normally hit a 2-iron more than 200 yards, but didn't allow for a lot of touch around the greens. Too many holes where you are asked to park the driver and some where things were just too narrow. I can understand the value of accuracy, but at our level, shots are going to find their way a few yards either side of the fairway and the result shouldn't be too punitive. It was ok, but for the price, definitely nothing to write home about.

Weather was very good, partly sunny, not too hot with a nice breeze. Few, if any, bugs. Course was in great shape. Greens with good speed but also the ability to hold shots. We got out just before the afternoon discount rate kicked in so we had the course pretty much to ourselves. No one pushing us from behind and no waits at any holes.
It was a fair but challenging test.

Always love playing the Marshes, but the greens have suffered significant die-off over the winter. Impossible to putt fairly.
