Traditional course.

The greens have deteriorated and are a real downer. That said, the staff is working diligently to fix problems they inherited. I've played this course many times over the past 40 years and still enjoy it.

Marcus Pointe, 2014

The course is in the best shape it has been in years. The greens have recovered outstandingly and are playing fast and true. The multiple tees allow players of all skill levels to have a fine time. Nearby Iron is a fine restaurant with a players' lounge adjacent.Unfortunately, the course has been losing money for some years now and is scheduled to close on 12/31/14. I hope it is sold to someone who can manage it well.

Tanglewood

An enjoyable course that will require all the shots in your bag. Temporary green on #1. Looks like the regular green will need months of effort to be playable. The course is very, but requires precise placement of your drives and you'll want to hit a fairway wood or long iron off some of the tees to keep it in play. This is the type of course I grew up playing in the 1950s and 60s. It's nice to play a course laid out on the natural ground and not one where 1,000,000 cubic yards of soil were moved to shape it. Donald Ross would like this facility.

Village Golf Center, 2014

The course has been closed for several years. It was a fun course featuring a nice layout and many challenges for hitting approach shots, but a housing development has been built over the property. and the course no longer exists. I had to enter a play date of 9/27/13 which is fictional or this review would not have been accepted.
