Deer Valley Golf Course - Ridge
Played On 06/27/2023Valley/Ridge combo - sweet!
When I visit the area, I and my brother in law will drive out to B'Ville and hit Deer Valley. I've played there several times but for some reason never played the Valley 9. It was like playing a new course! We both felt that the character of the Valley was great, and I look forward to playing it again, with whatever the other choices of 9 will be.
The Omni Grove Park Inn
Played On 04/21/2019Fast round, slow greens
I was the first one off this morning and completed my round in three hours flat. Had been a lot of rain recently, and the greens have been drilled and filled, so the greens were quite slow. The course layout is great. I love the old courses.
South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
Played On 01/28/2019Good first experience
I was a solo and got paired with a member and his guest. Good yardage book was helpful, but local knowledge was better. Played the East then North. Only complain would be the greens on the North are totally different than the East or South. Went from maybe a 11 on stimp meter to may 6 or 7. Putting through new rye grass. I"m told the North will be reseeded to be consistent with the South and East 9's.
Lake Wisconsin Country Club
Played On 06/28/2018Good value and fun
I have golfed this course a few times when I visit relatives. It is relatively short, but can be challenging if you are not in the right positions. The greens are small but roll even and beautifully.
After playing again I feel this was a great value. Played in just over 3 hours and felt good about the experience.
TPC Dorado Beach - Sugarcane
Played On 02/19/2017First time at Sugarcane - won't be the last
Course was in very good condition and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I was a solo at 8:40 and ended up catching a 4-some a few holes later. They immediately let me play through. Then I played w/ another solo on the back and enjoyed a more leisurely back 9, following a walking 4-some. Total time elapsed was just over 3 hours. Great!
I played the whites based on the slope and course rating. I normally play a course that is only 100 yrds longer and has a lower slope. I came in way under my handicap on the first time. Next time I'll play the blues. Easier than the scorecard indicates IMO.
