The tee boxes were a little chewed up, the fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens were good, with few bare spots, but a little slow and inconsistent.

Well worth the effort to make it out to OCN. Either course is an enjoyable day playing golf.

Can't go wrong with this course for $50 (or less during certain times of the year). Always in great shape.

The course is okay, but the people who work there couldn't be ruder or more obnoxious. Pay that much money just to be treated so poorly is a crime.

The range balls are little better than hitting rocks or acorns. The tees have precious little grass, the greens are a mix of bare spots, and different grasses and weeds, but all cut to about the same height, and the fairways are in need of grass and water. But there is great potential for any management company that actually may want to put some money and effort into it.

The course is marginally better than it was but still has a long way to go. Huge patches of bare ground. No grass on some tee boxes. Traps are hard packed. Greens are a hodgepodge of grasses where there is grass. Busted cart paths and bathrooms. No water to drink and no sand to fill divots. I understand that some things take time but they are not attending to the simple things either.

Understand that the golf course was built out of a swamp and you can handle the heat and humidity a little better, especially on the back nine.

Tee boxes were mostly dirt. Fairways had lots of unrepaired divots. Greens were decent, mostly grass.
But the pace of play was unforgivably long at over 5 hours. Waited at every tee. Worse on the back nine. And worse still because the rangers were on the course and did nothing but smile and ride by.
Hi, we appreciate the honest review. We're installing a new irrigation system starting July 22nd, with improvements planned for our tee boxes, greens and more in the months ahead. Played On 05/18/2019Some of the tee boxes were chewed up, but the fairways and greens were okay. Not great, but not bad, either. The rangers did an exceptional job trying to keep everyone on pace, but there were simply too many golfers on the course. Pace was almost 5 hours.
