Old South is a great course for those looking at not breaking the bank in playing golf in/around Hilton Head. The course is well managed and in good shape for off season golf. The only negative were the trap conditions..some with adequate sand, others with little or no fluffy sand and others being sanded. Pace of play was great but we played early in the am so it may not be necessarily true for others. E.g. When we were on 18, the group behind us were on 16.

For a cloudy morning surprised that there were not more golfers out. This is one of my favourite tracks in the Niagara Region. It is a Stanley Thompson désign that is fair for all category of golfers. The greens were relatively fast and well manicured as were the fairways and traps. There are no quarky holes rather thoughtfully crafted holes expected of a Thompson course. Greeeting by the Pro was a nice touch and the employees were courteous and friendly. Would definitely play this track again.

Course was wet due to prior rain. Cart path golf only. We are not fast golfers by any stretch but play ahead of us was slow. Disappointed that Marshalls were nowhere to be found to speed up play. Otherwise we like to play Usshers Creek as it is generally well maintained and is challenging but fair for all handicappers.

Played Legends-Usshers Creek and enjoyed the experience. Practice area well maintained albeit removed some distance from 1st Tee. Course in beautiful shape and well marked. From the whites found the 6184 yards to be perfect length for us senior golfers. Only minor point was that the greens were inconsistent in speed. Otherwise a great experience. Will be back!
