Portmarnock Golf Club - Championship Course
Played On 08/18/2017A wonderful experience
Had time for one round while in Dublin. PM was recommended by a friend. Rented clubs which were high quality. I arrived early and was allowed to go out solo before everyone. Took my pull cart and was done in two hours. The course is spectacular. It's in wonderful shape. Some very pretty views The layout is super. I had a wonderful morning out there. Brendan the caddy master is a class act, as is the rest of the crew. If/when I go back I will be sure to get out there again. A real treat
Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2017Great value for the money
Been playing here for years. Been member of men's club for the past 5
Some of the greens need work. Weekend rounds can be long if you get stuck behind slow players. There's alot of places where balls can be lost and people spend lots of time looking for them
However, the course is very fun to play. Lots of challenging holes. In the afternoons, the wind can kick up a bit on the back 9 and add some difficulty.
I play here all the time. Pro Shop staff is great, and O'Neils bar and grill is great place to unwind. Your first beer is the cost of your score.
Food is really good, and lots of tv's for watching sports. Big fan of this course in what is a very over-priced Orange County Market.
Monarch Beach Golf Links
Played On 04/11/2017Fun course, but overpriced
I've played here a number of times. There are few holes which are memorable. Only 1 is on the water. The rest don't do much for me.
It's way overpriced in my view, but that's because it caters to the folks who stay at the Ritz and what was formerly known as the St. Regis.
The staff is great, and the facilities and the food are superb. It's just not my cup of tea for a round of golf in Orange County.
