The renovation in 2014 has done wonders to make this course one if the top 5 in Wisconsin, including the Kohler courses and Erin Hills. Exceptional amenities and courteous on course staff. We were one of 3 groups on the tee when making the turn and the ranger told us to play 17 and 18 because there was enough of a gap to let a twosome play those holes and get back in at 10. That sort of attentiveness on a very slow day is extraordinary when other courses wouldn't do anything like that. Beyond the excellent layout and conditions, that really sticks out as to how high class of a facility Sentryworld is.

I really enjoyed my round here. Fun layout save a couple of very gimmick holes and some that are in the process of growing grass with quite a bit if ground under repair. The beverage cart was pretty lazy as we only saw it once and were blatantly skipped twice, but the course and pro shop staff were excellent. I just wish that beverage cart drivers were better trained to drive the entire course rather than skip 6 holes, but other than advising you to stock up at the turn this is a really fun layout with great pro shop staff and an excellent value for $45 on weekends during the summer.

Timberstone is a magnificent course with a great staff and a truly unique layout. Any course that is built into old ski hills is sure to be unique and fun. Pair that with excellent conditions and great service from the staff and that turns into a fantastic experience. Only minor criticism is that the proshop was pretty under stocked as I was looking to take home some memorabilia but nothing quite caught my eye. I'll take my birdie on 18 as a great consolation prize. Overall a fantastic experience that is worth the drive up to Iron Mountain.

Not much to say about the Lakes other than that it is a very good track that is very different than its defacto big brother the pines. While both are great courses, the lakes provides a nice change of pace in that it provides a pseudo links style where as the pines is a very traditional parkland course. Pace of play was amazing for a gorgeous summer Saturday (finished as a twosome in 3 hours) and the course was in fantastic condition other than a few unfixed ball marks and spike marks on the greens (typical of a public course.) Still, great track in great condition. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Central Wisconsin area.

Found a great deal on GolfNow to save this from being a total disaster. While the track was promising, the lack of care shown to this course is amazing compared to the links course. The bunkers were basically gravel pits and for the sake of my clubs decided to just drop out of them. Really disappointing considering how well kept the links course is. Greens were also in very bad shape. I love the links course but will most likely never play the Woodlands again after how poor of condition it was in during peak season, especially compared to the links.

Just, wow. I loved the "old" Sentry, but the renovation has once again made this course a must play not only in Wisconsin, but in the country. I feel very blessed to live within an hour of this absolute gem as it has been improved in so many ways. The holes that may have seemed unfair are a thing of the past, and the condition of the course, while always very good, is on par with courses such as TPC Deere Run. The new SentryWorld is my favorite course I have ever played, and this includes multiple top courses in the state of Wisconsin and the country as a whole. The new SentryWorld is absolutely flawless.

This course is one of my absolute favorites. Having played most of the top ranked courses in Wisconsin, this course continues to impress. Open layout that still proves challenging, the natural feel and layout of the course keeps me wanting to return. Also, the top notch staff led by the head pro Jim makes every visit to this club a wonderful experience. Trust me, a golfer of any capability will love not only the course, but the exceptional service and experience that comes with a visit to The La Crosse County Club.

Excellent course with an even better atmosphere. The other reviews may fool you thinking this club is full of stuffy drunks. As a member here who does not drink, I have never met a friendlier group of members willing to accept outside play. The course is very challenging if you are not accurate, but the conditions are really exceptional and the layout is top notch for the area.

The replica holes may be what draw people in, but I think the real strength of this course is the original holes that surround the replicas. It is a resort course so fridays and saturdays in the summer can make for a long day, but playing during the week or on Sunday the pace of play is usually very quick. I've played here probably close to ten times now and the course has always been in excellent condition, even in April or October.
