Dougalston Golf Club
Played On 08/13/2021Tough course
Greens in excellent condition. Course generally in excellent condition. Very quiet - saw only two or three other golfers out on the course, surprising for a Friday morning. I am a high handicap golfer and I found it to be a tough course. Lots of long par four holes, many with a canyon of trees on either side of the tee area, allowing little room for error. Even the par three holes seem rather long, offering little respite for golfers of my standard. Perhaps more a course for mid handicappers or low handicappers. There were four of us and our round took four and a half hours. We were not held up at any point and I don’t think we were playing slowly; it’s just a long course, with lots of walking between some of the holes.

Beautiful day; beautiful course. Greens in perfect condition, not just perfect for this time of year but just perfect, period. Puts other courses to shame. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice course. Bit of a climb to start but once up you basically only come down at the very end. Very exposed in places on a very windy day but good fun. Well worth a try.
Dalmuir Municipal Golf Course

Some very interesting holes; some fairly standard, relatively uninteresting ones. Greens in very good condition. Very, very hilly in places- a good workout! Need to be fit to manage (and enjoy) 18 holes here. Friendly welcome but relatively few amenities- toilets not open, for example. Overall, however, very enjoyable day out- I will be back.
