Spring Hollow Golf Course
Played On 05/15/2020Good value
This course seems to always be in good condition. The greens have plenty of grass and roll nicely. The routing is enough to keep you engaged and there’s lots of nice hills to keep the lies interesting. This may become my go to course when I dont feel like ponying up the money to play some of the higher end tracks in the area. Definitely recommend this place.

It’ll be a better course. The front nine was a little ho-hum. The back nine things pick up a bit with nicer holes and views. I like the fact that they balance out the course by including two par 5s on each nine along with three par 3s. Pace was a little slow on the front but then we played through a twosome and were on our way. I’ll play it again in a month or so.

The design is decent enough until you get to #10. The hole is narrow with lateral hazards defining both sides placing a premium on accuracy, however there's a giant bunker complex in the middle of the narrow, sloping fairway where your drive should land. The hole just doesn't make sense. Then you're confronted with some additional awkward tee shots and approaches until you reach 18. This hole is vying with #10 as the worst hole on the course. Forced carry of 210 yards over a lateral hazard (black tees) or layup short and you're completely blocked on your second shot by a tree line on the right. I'd rather play Rock Manor every day of the week!

The greens were horrendous a week after aeration. The fringe around the greens is burned out on many holes. They've basically ignored the conditioning of this course for years. Not worth it.

Nice track with some unique design characteristics. The greens were something out of the 70's....like a nicely groomed shag carpet. It's hard to adjust to greens that roll maybe a 5 or a 6 on the stimpmeter when every other public course out there rolls much quicker. They've got plenty of grass on those greens, just cut them down and speed em up a little. Also, the rough is a little too high for this type of course. Tough to find balls and for high handicappers it must be impossible to actually hit out of that rough.
Now on a sidenote, to the lovely couple I played with.....and I hope you get a chance to read this. Please , nice lady, tee up your ball in the fairway and avoid the tee boxes. If your drive goes no more than 100 yards on a good shot, then the max distance for YOUR par 4 should be about 200 yards. If you can't reach in regulation with two of your best shots then it's not a par 4...it's a par 6 or 7. I play with my girl once a week (she shoots mid 90s and drives it about 160 yards) and tee her up in the fairway whenever the distance of the teebox exceeds her ability to get on in regulation. Please take this advice and you may get a lot more enjoyment out of the game.

I've played this course many times and it has improved greatly over the years. However, when I showed up for my tee time I was made aware that they were aerating the back nine and I would have to play the front twice. Annoying to say the least as the course did NOT disclose this information when I booked online. I then asked about the turn as there would undoubtedly be players teeing off the first as I rounded the ninth. I was assured there wouldn't be an issue. As I drove up to the first hole again there were no less 20 young high schoolers waiting to tee off. We jumped in front of them as we should have only to have a ranger find is on the first fairway questioning our decision to tee off and our pace of play. This could easily have been avoided by adding the aeration icon to the tee time and reflects poorly on management. I can only hope in the future that they show a little more diligence in listing accurate course conditions.

So we booked a hot deal on golfnow to play a course I've logged no less than 100 rounds on in the last 10 years. This experience will do it. They were aerating the fairways during play....that's right, the fairways were loaded with huge plugs that required you to clear off the area around your ball and your feet on every shot. Ridiculous as there was no rollout in the fairways and you couldn't play a bump and run at all because of the conditions. Now if there were some aeration holes that would've been one thing but you DON'T open the course for play while doing this people. Inexcusable! I'm out.......

Don't let the first few holes lull you into a false sense of security. This course will give you all you can handle! It's gets progressively more difficult the further you go and once you hit the 8th hole you need all your golf acquity in order to shoot your score.
Beware the extremely difficult 11th with a pinpoint drive needed in order to have a shot at the green. The 15th & 16th holes (par 4s) have a high potential for disaster.
A really cool feature of the course is back to back par 5s on each nine. Conditioning is good and greens are tricky.

Ok, I've been playing here for quite a few years and it usually represents a good value, especially on a hot deal. However, with the turnover in management, the township has decided to effectively give up on any conscience level of maintenance. The greens were horrendous, patches of dirt....and lots of burned out fairways. Come on people, get it together!!! The conditions are absolutely atrocious and don't even think about paying the normal price to play here. I know they'll blame the weather but Pennsauken seems to be in just fine shape and the township owns it. Maybe Evesham twp. should give them a call to see how it's done.
I also asked them the same thing and they told me do you know how much rain we got in the last 2 months and all the record rain but I asked them why other local courses which recvd the same amt don't look like Indian Springs even their mayor got nasty via email on me.

This course is a must play in the area now that the regular golfer can get on this former private track. Some really spectacular holes with lots of elevation change.
Thanks for leaving your review. We regret to hear you did not enjoy the layout of the course past hole 10 as much as possible, we hope you come back soon and give it another shot.
