This iconic Monterey Bay golf course is very challenging. Lots of bunkers and undulating, fast greens. Unfortunately on this day it was socked in with fog so we could not enjoy the excellent views of the Bay. I got a very reasonable green fee on “Golf Now” and I will be returning soon to hopefully play better than I did today.

My Buddy and I play together weekly and usually here at Madera Muni. We finished our 18 holes in just a little over 3 hours. It was not crowded and a beautiful springtime morning.

I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the greens for it being a Muni course. Sad to hear it will be closing (being sold) later this year.

Played the course for the first time today with my regular foursome. The course has a lot of variety and is very challenging. The greens have a lot of slope and caused me more 3 putts than I would have liked. The only complaint would be that most of the sand traps were not well maintained and were like cement. I will definitely come back when we can get a good price on Golf Now.

My buddy and I play here 3-4 times per month. It’s one of closest courses to home, great green fees and friendly staff.
I definitely recommend Madera Muni to any golfers:)

We have played here 5 times in the last 2 months. The most reasonably priced course in the area and it is a good course for the average golfer.
