Cobble Hills Golf Club
Played On 09/06/2019Pine Trees
Played here numerous times over the years. Lots of pine trees that is reminiscence of Northern Michigan. Good mix of holes. A couple are up and down-- elevation.
Cobble Hills Golf Club
Played On 09/06/2019Accuracy is important.
First hole requires a straight shot with water on the left and tall pine trees on the right. Have played there many times over the years and continue to enjoy. Has some interesting holes that require club selection. Lots of pine trees reminiscent of courses I have played in Michigan.
Pine Knot Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/09/2016Always in great shape, delicious lunch
The course is walkable. Not an easy play but forgiving. Two par threes and a par four require a carry over water 3, 4,16. Have always enjoyed playing there. The club house is well equipped and dining is a must.
Ridgetown Golf and Country Club
Played On 10/11/2015A Surprise!
First time to play this course and was surprised! Course was in clean condition with the generous fairways almost leaf free. Most of the greens are elevated, contoured with sand traps. Greens were in great condition. We had a power cart; but the course is walk-able. Overall a great course. Not overly long. Accurate approach shots required due to sand traps. Great course to hone "short game". Will definitely play next season!
Willow's Golf and Country Club
Played On 07/13/2015Small Greens
This course may not be long but the small greens require accurate approach shots. We found the greens firm to hard and fast. Some tree lined holes require straight shots. Hole # 2 and #10 has water in front. Most greens slope back to front. Even though we rode it is a walkable course.
The Bridges at Tillsonburg
Played On 05/21/2014First Time This Year
Always enjoy the Bridges. A mix of old and new. Originally 9 hole, expanded to 18 a few years ago so the course gives you two different looks. New this year is gps on the carts.
Previous night heavy rain making course wet in places and traps hard packed with puddles. Water comes into play on many of the expanded holes 8,10,11,12 and 17. #12 par 4 requires a blind shot ( due to elevation change) to a adequate landing area and then over the river. Driver not required.
Good food at reasonable prices. All in all, a great course to experience!
Widder Station Golf and Country Club
Played On 10/08/2013Well Maintained
Course is in great condition for the time of year and is generally wide open except for a few holes that require precise distances. Large greens. No. 15 is 100 feet deep. A driver is not always your first choice on holes 7,8 and 11. Finishing par 5 hole requires 3 well placed shots to give you an opportunity to make par.
Cobble Hills Golf Club
Played On 9/16/2013Course walkable. Lots of Pine Trees.
Always enjoy playing Cobble Hills. Reminds me of Northern Michigan with all the Pine Trees. Course wraps around ski hill, so there are two elevation changes, par four and par three plus vistas. Good value for the $.
