Planter's Row at Port Royal Golf Club
Played On 02/03/2016Perfect golfing
Planter's Row was great. Friendly staff. Fast bag drop pick up and pro shop service. It seemed like we had the course to ourselves. Tons of nature with many birds, red tails hawks, and a gator. Nice layout within what seemed like a nature reserve except for a couple of holes near the busy 278 road. Many tees to choose from. My wife play well from the fronts and "enjoyed" her yardages. Only a few wet areas with nice variety of either water, bunker, or tight fairways. Sprinkler markings were nice but GPS on the electric cards would have been nicer. Would like to play it again and not drive into the woods so much for a better score.
The Club at Savannah Harbor
Played On 02/01/2016Great day, great views, great golf
Very friendly staff. We played on sunny day it seemed without anyone especially in the course. The views of the bridge, wetlands and river were fantastic. The course was in pretty good shape. Greens great with nice speed and right amount of undulations. The fairways had a lot of wetness to them so most of the time there wasn't any rollout. We had to play LC&P. We still were able to 90°cart being careful. Layout was nice challenge but not overwhelming. Choosing right tees helped. Wife and I had a great time and will be back.
Gopher Hills Golf Course - Executive Nine
Played On 08/04/2015Nice Time
Our day started with a great greeting from the staff. The course was in good shape with very nice speed to the greens. Rolling hills with nice elevation changes with fescue meant for very errant shots. We had great time and will be back.
CreeksBend Golf Course

This is a favorite of mine. I love that each hole has its own character. It is mostly open with some elevation changes, but a each hole has locations where you can't go without a cost to your score. Number 12 has a pond in the middle, so do you lay up or go for it? There is a long walk between 13/14 & 17/18, but is a walkable course.
If it is your first time, they did have a cheat sheet on how to play the holes you might ask for. The staff is always friendly and the cart person was around a lot.
Montgomery National Golf Club
Played On 08/05/2014Perfect experience
Friendly staff greetings and some course directions started a perfect round. After a tasty hotdog, my wife and I played 18 in a cart for our first time. The variety in the layout and beautiful mature oak trees made this course a must play. Yes there was couple of blind shots off the tee and some water edges not known to us first timers, but it did not bother us at all. Addition, cart path/next hole markings and fairway yardages help us speed around the course. Each hole had some play it safe or risk it routes. All though it is a longer drive (avoid CO RD #1 road close/detour) from us, we'll be back with our couples gang.
Red Wing Golf Course
Played On 07/25/2014Great time
Other than some of the greens that had bare spots the course was in perfect condition. The layout and variety of hole types is the fun part of going to Red Wing. That and the trick to finding the entrance.
Glencoe Country Club
Played On 07/19/2014Friendly Staff, Interesting layout
Quick greens. Variety of hole types. River flooding damaged 13 fairway that is being reseeded. We played as Par3. Water in play but not over whelming. A lot of vineyards in area for post round tasting.
River Falls Golf Club
Played On 9/14/2013Very nice layout wth some very pretty views.
The free coffee started the round out great. Nice electric carts. Course conditions where perfect with true rolling greens. The Shark snack shack was located in a convenient multi-hole location. Plenty of clean port-a-potties located throughout the course. The ranger, shack girl, and clubhouse staff was very nice. The front tees were perfect for my wife who is a shorter hitter. We will be back even though it is a hour drive for us.
