Hidden Gem

Second time playing course. The staff was professional and courteous. The pro shop is well stocked. The driving range is well kept. The carts are clean but GPS would be great. The course is immaculate, a lot of water hazards and not for a beginner. We enjoyed the host of ducks. The pace was the only draw back, relaxed group in front of us and a fast group behind us, “rush to wait”. We played din the rain on Memorial Day but still nice. Excellent course for the money. Would recommend course for intermediate players. The ponds are deep don’t look for stray balls.

Stone grounds

Played several times in past few years. The tee boxes were ok. The fairways were extremely hard with no give for the average golfer. The greens were hard with large bare spots. The staff was pleasant. Probably done with pelican bay not for the average golfer.

Overrated

I play courses based on recommendations and reviews. This course rated good for the money so we gave it a try. I think the reviews were way to high. We had a mid morning tee time. One the first hole there there several groups waiting to play. A few groups asked to start on back nine to speed up the front and were rudely denied. The tee boxes were complete sand. The fairways weren’t much better. The greens were average at best. The food was excellent but expensive. For the money I would pay a few more dollars and play a better course. The cashier was less than polite but everyone else was very nice. There are a ton of courses to play in Florida and this is off my recommended courses. Good luck

Venitain Bay

Always a great course to play. Today was a little we in morning from rains so carts were rough only. Be mid morning the fairways were dry but several sand traps were flooded. The pace is always hit or miss. The greens were nice and fast. The staff is always friendly.

Pelican bay north

Nice course for the money. Went during rainy week so fairways and traps were waterlogged. 16/18 greens were good. Limited snacks and drinks.
