Reading Country Club
Played On 08/09/2020First time at RCC
Played on a Sunday late morning. Having read some of the previous reviews, I was excited about getting out there and seeing and playing the course. The best part of the course is the conditions of the greens. Without question. Tee boxes could use some work,.
Bunkers were everything from awful to pristine and everything in between. Hilly layout with mature trees lining most fairways. You could see how in its day, the course was highly regarded regionally. We played as a two-some and made good time until about the 8th hole. From there on, we were waiting on every hole and groups behind us were queued up. 5 hour round. Shot my first 82 at RCC and its a testament to condition and quality of the greens.
Wyncote Golf Club
Played On 08/08/2020Wyncote - Cart Path Only Day
I have played Wyncote 15-20 times since it originally opened. Never have I been disappointed in the course. I have been frequently disappointed in my inability to keep the ball out of the fescue. If you can hit it straight and keep it in the fairway, you will be well on your way to having a 5 star day. We played 2 days after torrential rains from the recent Tropical Storm. So cart path only was required. Fescue was high, greens were in good condition and moderate in speed, and the course overall was in surprisingly good condition after the rains. Lost ball total = 4. Still played in 4 hrs. 20 mins on a Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
LPGA International - Jones Course
Played On 07/03/2020Jones Course
Played LPGA for the third time in 10 days. Love both courses. I always tee off in the 6 o’clock hour, first or second group our. Courses have been in great shape. Minor gripe about the standing water in the bunkers. It is FL in the summer so downpours overnight happen. But the standing water in most of the bunkers was my only gripe. Staff were great. Facilities were great. When I retire, LPGA is on my list of clubs to join.
