Surprisingly not CPO after 4" rain two days prior but course was in decent shape. Many areas, including tee boxes, course had been punched, making teeing off somewhat difficult . Greens recently punched also and recovering nicely. Pace was excellent, at a little over 3 hours. The changes to single riders has quickened each round and would be appreciated from here on, but not practical except for private venues. Would recommend once course recovers from spring work.

Tough track from any set of tees. Rolling hillside with significant slope on most greens, which were in fantastic shape. Highly recommend!!

Overall an excellent value through Golfnow! Perfect weather offset somewhat marginal conditions. Very difficult course; small greens and undulated fairways and lies. Will definitely return using hot deal tee time!!

Very nice golf course, but not for the higher handicap players. Forced carries, tight fairways and undulated greens can make for a long day. Would wait another few weeks until the grass has matured before playing.

Had the opportunity to play this excellent course a couple of years ago but forgot what a great layout it was. Visually stunning holes #12-17 that abut the lake and greens fast and true. Can't wait to return again. If only it was closer to metro Atlanta.....

I've played both the Nicklaus and original version of the course and definitely prefer the latter. Nicklaus tamed the beast a little too much for my liking, but my golf mates enjoyed themselves nonetheless. Really had a wonderful time on the Meadows the previous day, but cannot putt those old Bermuda greens!! Recommend those high handicappers play the #3 tees if they want to finish! My son and I enjoyed the #1s, but I just can't finish #14, 15 or 17 nowadays!!

With the exception of 3 very poor greens on the front side, Durham Lakes is very challenging and thoroughly entertaining 18 holes! Once the green issue is addressed, I will be heading back for another chance to bring this course down!!

Recently played Atlantic National Golf Club. Very fun course for any level golfer; wide open fairways, minimal fairway bunkering comes into play from the tips and general good test of golf. Par 5s and par 3s very lengthy, resulting in modest length, dogleg par 4s. Undulated greens had been dried only with the mowers, so somewhat grainy adventure there. Overall, very satisfactory experience with my son celebrating his 17th birthday!
