Hidden Hills Golf Course
Played On 10/25/2020Hidden Hills pace of play
Hidden Hills is a somewhat challenging course that is in good condition. Greens roll true and fairways are good shape. The issue is the same for the last three times we have played. Golfers so up after there tee times and are let to proceed to the first hole. this in turns backs up the tee times. Sunday Oct 25th a foursome with a 9:54am tee time checked in at 9:55am in sandals not ready by any means and allowed to jump in front of 2 other 4somes. Our 4 was 25 minutes late and the 4 some that was late created a gap of 3 holes because of slow play and no marshal to speed them up. Unfortunate of the situation but will not return and speaking to the group in front of us they agree.
Hidden Hills Golf Course
Played On 03/01/2020Great course, poor management.
Showed up on a very busy Sunday. Witness 2 foursomes check in and comment that they were later, minimum of 30 minutes late. Asked, can you fit us in, no problem said the gentleman behind the desk said. This put everybody at least 30 minutes behind. Ended up being a 5 and a half hour round. If you have a tee time show up or go to the next available. Management has no control and no starter to keep things organized.
Hello, u0000069009. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Hidden Hills Golf Course another try in the near future.
Stonecreek Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2016Course conditions
Having played Stonecreek several times in the past would have second thoughts about playing there again. Staff friendly and professional but the course is in poor shape, not lime the pictures you see. Most tee boxes where burned out and the fairways and greensure hard as concrete. The course needs some tender care to bring it back to the past great course it was
Thanks for playing and complimenting our staff. As temps reach 100 degrees the golf course starts to transition from our winter grass to our summer grass causing hot spots in the fairways (which every course in the Phoenix Metro will experience). This is a typical transition and roller based irrigation is utilized to speed up the recovery. The greens are transitioning in a similar fashion but on a quicker timeline. The soil has been kept moist on the greens to assist this transition. I played 18 holes last week and did not experience any issues with the greens holding shots. Thanks again for playing and I hope you understand why a Phoenix golf courses cannot be lime green like their pictures year round.
Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. We are glad to see you rated the course conditions and layout to be great during your game. Thank you for playing Hidden Hills Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.
