Great value

Course has interesting holes with plenty of water hazards. Fairways are firm but turf is fine. Somewhat narrow so hit'em straight. Greens relatively small, not severely sloped and in very nice condition. Well struck shots held really well. Better value than any of the public courses in the area.

Disappointed

Average layout for a public facility. Uninteresting green complexes with tiny greens and unreceptive green surfaces. Fairway turf had no depth and were rock hard. Not worth the visit.

Basic public course

There were two distinctly different nines. Front nine was basic back and forth holes with modest elevation changes and relatively flat greens. We had to do cart path only as course was still soft. Grass was thick and wet making clean contact more difficult. Back nine was more interesting with elevation changes, distinct fairways, undulating greens and better fairway grass. Greens were relatively smooth and very true. Decent value for a public facility.

Poor conditions

This course has basically lost all their fairways, possibly to drought. Greens were fine and medium speed. Many great views. Interesting holes and extreme elevation changes. Could be among best in state but wait until next year and hope they can grow some fairway grass in the meantime.

Crown Point

Course has plenty of length and challenge off the tee with elevation changes and sidehill lies. Greens are generally small but not especially interesting. Many greens are protected by large and deep bunkers. Conditions were just average but fine considering end of summer weather. Overall, worth a visit if you are in the area and not willing to pay resort prices for golf.

Pleasant round

The course was in good shape considering the dry conditions in SW Florida and compared to other courses on our trip. Greens were of average size, somewhat undulating and in good condition. Fairways were receptive and landing areas fairly generous. Bunkers and hazards didn't come into play much, making for less of a challenge but good for the average golfer. Most holes had attractive natural vegetation defining the hole. No condo views. Clubhouse was minimal.
