Fantastic setting for the course which is in great condition. A real gem - try it!
Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Club
Played On 05/10/2018Superb setting
Highly enjoyable round of golf. Some interesting and deceptive holes on first nine. Second nine is relatively new though the greens seem much quicker.
Tulliallan Golf Club
Played On 05/07/2018Made very welcome
First time playing this fairly local course which was in great shape. Slow play but only because it was a bank holiday and actually great to see a course so busy. Started as a singleton but teamed up with a 3 ball behind and was made very welcome
Alloa Golf Club
Played On 11/06/20174hrs 28 mins, on a Monday - longest round in 40 years of golf
First time playing Alloa. Nicely laid out course with quite a number of blind greens. Greens not in that great shape but to be fair it is early November. What spoilt the day was pace of play. I was a singleton so accept I had minimal standing but a very slow playing four ball in front of me (with no one in front of them) refused to let me through. When they lost a ball and had perfect opportunity while they looked for it they simply dropped another ball (so not playing an official competition either)
Swanston Golf Club
Played On 10/27/2017Fast round on course with great views
Blue sky, late October day and played a fast round with no hold ups. Friendly reception when I arrived. Some great, testing par 3s. A few of the greens were aerated but that's totally understandable at this time of the year - course in a good condition given the amount of rain we've had in Oct.
Royal Musselburgh Golf Club
Played On 08/29/2017Great parkland course with heritage
Course generally in great condition, especially greens. Some bunkers a little hard underneath. Fairways fairly wide and forgiving. Well placed bunkers!
The Arndean at Muckhart Golf Club
Played On 05/05/2017Fantastic course in the Ochils
The course has 3 x 9 holes. The 18 hole set up on the day was the Naemoor and the Cowden. Both in great condition, especially the greens. Cowden is a very attractive though tighter course (not always suited to my somewhat erratic slice or hook :). I hear the Arndean is better than the Naemoor so look forward to playing that in the near future (though I have absolutely no complaints with the Naemoor)
