Holden Hills Country Club
Played On 10/06/2018Challenging course
The course was in good shape even after the rain earlier in the week. The staff was welcoming. It was the first time there for two of my playing partners and they like the way the course was laid out and how it had to be played. They hope to be back soon.
Dudley Hill Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2017course was in great shape
An excellent day, friendly staff. The grounds keeper did a good job clearing the couse of leaves. I will be back it was a fun nine.
Twin Springs Golf Course
Played On 09/05/2014nice course for a quick nine
This was a fun and fairly easy couse. It was well kept, the fairways were recently cut, the only disappointment was finding out the greens were being worked on , but that shows they care about the maintenance. The couse is wide open, well marked. I recommend it to beginners as it is a forgiving setup. I did not eat there so I can't comment on the food but their beer is as the sign said cold.nice eating/bar area. We only played nine at a nice leisurely pace. Great view of Mt. Wachusett .
Maplegate Country Club
Played On 10/3/2013this was a fun course to play.
we had a great time playing this course, we liked the layout . It was the first time we played there and we are of different levels, beginner to low handicap and each enjoyed the course. The staff in the clubhouse were friendly, we got right off and the course was in good shape, it was clear management was committed to keeping up the course. The surroundings were beautiful this time of year, loved the waterfall. In regards to the greens only one had a problem area which did not effect our play. We will be back.
Mill Valley Country Club
Played On 8/18/2013This was a fun course to play on and moved along quickly.
We arrived early by an hour and allowed to go right out. We were met by the manager who was friendly and helpful, he explained the layout of the course as we were first timers to the course. The booklet of the course was also helpful and true to have as we rode around. I loved the challenge of the course, the hills, turns and enjoyed the views. Mill Valley is in a quiet setting and is well maintained, the greens to tees are well spaced (we rode). The fairways were cut nice, the roughs were playable and you had to study the greens to figure out the rolls. It appears that they have put a lot of work into the course and still working on areas (didn't effect/interfere our play). Loved the clubhouse prices and staff, we went in after nine for a quick bite (called) and beverages, when we left for the back nine we were given a cooler for the drinks, nice touch.
Waukewan Golf Club
Played On 8/2/2013Fun challengin course, better have a good iron game as the second and third shots are key to a low score.
We played the course twice and enjoyed it both days. The scenery was breath taking and the course was well maintained even though it had rained heavily the night before (dried off by the our second visit). The staff in the pro-shop was friendly and accommodating.
Playing the holes we found a good iron game was key as the course had short twists, turns and blind holes. Knowing the course the second time through helped lower the scores. I am an intermediate golfer and enjoyed the challenges of this course. We both would go back. Both days we finished just shy of four hours. It was a great deal for a good course, we will go back when we are in that area again.
