Well maintained. But you gotta like hills.

I had a good time at this course. The staff was cordial and helpful. If you are an average player (white tees), you should play the blues to enjoy the course. The yardage is more, but almost all tee boxes are highly elevated, so you get a lot of carry. The greens were well maintained. An unusual characteristic for the course is the stone. Some of the bunkers are in pits from cut stone. You will find some granite(?) areas in the rough--kind of tough on the old clubs. I plan on playing it again soon!

Very fast greens and well maintained. You will make errors without some course knowledge.

The course was well maintained. Maybe the fastest greens I have played on in years. None of the holes are marked on the tee box as to which hole you are on. This confused me a couple of times. On hole 8 without knowing the hole you cannot intelligently play it. You look down the fairway and see water a ways out there, but not the rest of the hole. The card doesn't help much there either. When I signed up on Golf Now, I took the last spot for the tee time. I was traveling so I had to go alone, but by signing up this way I thought I would be playing with people who might have some course knowledge. When I got there, the course told me that I had to play alone because the other people didn't want anyone to join them. So, I had to play behind a foursome and wait forever on every hole.

Lots of rolling hills and large greens. An enjoyable place to play.

The people at the clubhouse and their restaurant were quite friendly. There was a frost delay, so I had a chance to talk with them more than I normally would. From the tips this is a long course. There are lots of rolling hills and the fairways are fairly wide open; however, they make up for it with lots of bunkers and water. The greens were well maintained. I can think of nothing negative about my game there. It is a little out of the way but worth the drive.

Long course from the tips; however, regardless of your skill level you will be challenged by the speed of these greens.

I teed off on time and kept a consistent pace throughout the entire game. I am used to fast greens, but even the fringes of these greens are fast. This is the home course for the Augusta State University Jaguars--two time NCAA champions. Great course and conveniently located near downtown.

A lot of short par fours, but they make up for it with tough, fast elevated greens with lots of undulations.

When I checked in, the club house staff informed me of a cheaper rate than I booked on line. I saved $8 from what I thought I was going to pay. The staff was friendly, and the greens have all been oveerseeded and played very fast. I would reccomend this to anyone wanting to enjoy a round of golf.

Relatively easy, but a few pretty tight holes.

I played the day after it rained. The bunkers do not drain. They might as well be considered water hazards. If your ball goes in a bunker after the rain, there is a good chance you will lose it in the water. I would only recommend this course if it hadn't rained in a few days. About 4 hrs to play if not too crowded.
