Pace of play is always my top issue and I got around in sub four hour round. Course is in good shape and it is a delight

Hot day. Course was in good shape. Finnished round in 4hrs 15 minutes (not too bad considering the heat.

I admit, I did not take seriously the reviews that trashed this course. Having now played it, I wish I had listened to them. The fairways were ok and the rough is rough… it’s not supposed to be easy. However the greens were atrocious. I don’t know if it is a fungus but there is something growing on the greens that makes them horrible. On top of the growth, the greens were uneven and really should be redone. Sorry to have to leave such a scathing review. .

PROS: interesting challenging course, well tended and experienced good pace of play. CONS: relatively small thing but we bnever saw drink cart once and the snack/bar were not easily convenient at the turn, so we did not stop.

Nice morning. Course was a bit flooded and like hard-pack in some places. Greens are hard and fast (neither a good or bad thing). Played poorer than usual scored in low 90’s.

Since pace of play is most impotrant to me, I will say that the foursome in front of us played slowly and had several holes open in front of them and not once did a course marshall show up (my guess is that these guys were younger than me but played like they were in their 90’s).

Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps were all very well tended. The course is both wide open (good for beginners) and target focused (good for more advanced players.

We completed a round in less than four hours. It is March, so there was wind but not unplayable… it just added to the enjoyable difficulty and made me think more about club distances. I scored just under 90, normal for me.

Pace of play was under 4 hours. Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps and greens were all in very good shape. The course was windy (it is March and course is in Desert Springs). Course is wide open , for the most part, making it beginner friendly and yet challenging for more advanced players. Something for everyone.

Definitely will play here again.

My wife and I had a lovely afternoon at this course. Pace of pmay is important to me and I was pleased that we got around in under 4 hours.

Only con for this relatively easy and short course, is the front nine greens were in poor shape.

Pace of play is important to me (and apparently to the twosome behind us as they hit in to us 4 times). There were three foursomes ahead of our foursome. We finnished in 4:45 minutes (not terrible considering how busy the course was). Played poorly that day (irons were not good) ended with a 93.

Course is in pretty good shape and the greens rolled true. Price was OK and it would have been a more reasonable price at $50-60 for the type of course, the shape it was in and the pace of play..

While a little less challenging then El Tigre or the Vista Vallarta courses. It is in pretty good shape and the pace of play was great 3:15 Minutes. I paid $113 and would recommend at that rate.

I like this course. It is too bad that the greens and sand traps need work. After they get the sand in the traps to be consistent (some were like concrete and some had gravel) and repair the greens (looks like a blight killed sections of grass), I will return and try it again.

Nice staff, pace of play was good at just over four hours

I recently played Arizona Golf Club. It was my fourth and last round of golf during a five day vacation. I chose the course because of proximity to where I was staying and that the reviews were quit epositive.

I play in the mid 80's. That day I played in the low 80's. My one complaint was around a phone call that I made to the pro-shop. Pace of play is the most important issue to me (I hate 5 hour rounds of golf and had already experienced 2 of those while in Pheonix). This course is not well layed out (par five first hole is fine and then there is a par 3). When our group arrived at the 2nd hole par 3, there were two other groups already on the tee and a foursome that looked like every put had $10,000 bet on it. after 4 minutes of watching the group on the green putt, I phone the pro-shop and asked that they send a course marshal out to the hole to move people along.

What I recieved from the woman who answered the phone was 1) failure to listen; 2) excuses; and 3) condescension. She was the poster child for fire the course manager because she had no cutosmer service training. The front nine took us just under 3 hours and the back nine speeded up to under 2 hours (I assume people ran out of time and left).

I won't be back again. Be careful before you pay your good money to this place.

Four of us had a nice afternoon together today at foothills Golf course. Iwhile my friends are beginner golfers and did not care about course conditions, I did not appreciate that no one even mentioned that greens on the back nine were in bad shape with much of the greens grass being dead I would urge the management to do two things: 1) acknowledge to the public that they made some mistakes and killed some of the greens on the back nine; and 2) discount the cost of a round of golf until they fix the problem

Greens were true and had challenge. Best part was pace of play. Three of us got around in 3 hours

Nice day. Played poorly (usually a mid 80’s golfer). Played in the high nineties and still enjoyed the round. Hadn’t played in a monthe and used borrowed clubs. My putting saved me.

Nice course. Tough greens. Fairways could use some work. Winds were steadly blowing at 125 miles per hour.

The staff were great! Especially Mark in the pro-shop.

I like the Mountain course. Aside from a couple of design flaws, it plays well. Greens are in good shape. The fairways are in winter state and need work. What is always significant, for me, is the pace of play. As a single, I got around in 2 hours and a half! Now that is golf! (and thank you to the two foursomes who let me play through!)
