Played golf with a friend visiting from Arizona and had a great time.. The golf course was in great condition and it is fir to the golfer. Staff was attentive and did an excellent job.

The greens are in terrible shape. Areas where different grasses have invaded the green with different texture making it impossible to do well putting. Also areas of the greens have no grass at all. Okay place just to get out and swing the clubs but other then that I would not recommend the course. There are other courses near by in better condition. Also pace of play was non existent. Waited at every tee box and for every second shot. Not an enjoyable round of golf.

Second time playing here. The course this time was in pretty good condition. A dramatic change from a month ago. Tee boxes in good shape, nice fairways and greens
were good. Greens still have a few rough spots but are much improved.

Great price and a decent tract. More challenging then you think. Greens have a lot of movement in them but the green speeds were way slow.

If you tend to spray the ball this is not a course for you. If you are to the left or to the right of the green they are typically bunkered on both sides. The greens are narrow and it is very difficult to clear the bunker and keep the ball on the green. Often you end up in the other bunker. Pace of play was painful. We waited on every tee box due to a foursome in front of us that were very slow and did not offer to let us play through. No ranger came around to speed up play. If this is what San Marcos wants the club to be I will not come back.

Played this course a year and a half ago and had not gone back until now. Course conditions are much improved from a year and a half ago. Tees, fairways and greens were in good shape. Greens were fast and difficult to read.

The golf course was in great shape tee to green. The only problem is there is a lack of sand in the sand traps.

The greens in most cases were painfully slow. We played the course in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Twice we were approached by a ranger during play telling us we were behind and needed to speed up. There was no one behind us. How fast are you suppose to play this course!? Spoke with someone at the course and I was told the greens were not slow that he checks them every day. No explanation on what the speed of play is suppose to be. Got no where with them so I will not return to this golf course.

The greens were typically slow and inconsistent. We were a foursome. Teed off at 11:15 and finished at 3:00. 3 hour and 45 minute round. We were approached twice a ranger during the round and told we were lagging behind the group in front of us and had to speed up. There was no one behind us being held up. Not sure how fast they think you will play 18 holes but I think 3 hours and 45 minutes is pretty good. I will not go back to this course again or recommend it to anyone.

The course did not allow carts on the fairways at all. They should have had this posted on the site before people get a tee time. I am 4 weeks post hip replacement surgery and really did not need to have all that walking. Fairways, tee boxes in good shape. Greens were terribly slow.

The course was in very good condition. Greens had a good pace on them and they were true. Good value for the money.

The course is in nice shae. Better then in prior years. Greens however are relaticely slow.

The greens on the course had been recently aerated and they were unputtable. So much sand on the greens it was like hitting a putt in a sand trap. We were warned about the aeration but had no idea the green would be as bad as they were. That is the reason for the low rating. This is a great course and very well maintained. Just not worth playing under the condition the course was in.
