First time out at Moose Ridge and it is absolutely beautiful! Lots of elevation changes and close to nature, it reminded me of some of the best up north courses!! We played from the white tees and glad we did because it is a very challenging course. Most tee shots have a generous landing area but be CAREFUL on approach shots because there is no room behind the greens. On the back nine if you're going to miss, MISS LEFT as everything slopes down to the water. Great finishing hole on 18 and cool clubhouse with deck looking out on 10th tee box and 18th green... Can't wait to get back out when everything is in full bloom!!

Lake Forest is about 10 minutes from my parents house and my dad and i play there every time i come to visit. The staff is very friendly and accessible, with great practice facility and clubhouse... The best way to approach playing here is with the mindset you are playing 2 nine hole courses. The front nine is very wide open, semi links style, and you can make a lot of pars or birdies... The back nine is very scenic, but also tight and woodsy, make sure you are well stocked on balls at the turn... All and all this is a great course for different levels of ability and is also walkable.

My grandparents owned a house on the 2nd home for about 25 years, and the "old course" at SC has always had a place in my heart. I took my girlfriend who is just learning there and we played from the forward tees and used the 10 inch cups. We had a great time and this course can be played very easy for beginners or challenging from the tips... $18 with cart in the afternoon is tough to beat... Head down to Shorts in downtown Bellaire afterwards for great food and the BEST craft beer in Michigan!!

UNREAL!!! I heard good things about this course and it couldn't be farther from the truth... Horrible conditions as fairway is torn out and bumps all over the green. On top of it the staff was very rude. If there was a zombie apocalypse movie this course would fit right in as it is decaying before your eyes.
